FORZA 3? First a Crackdown hint now Forza 2 DLC deals before a Forza 3 announcment

Also, Le Mans has been hinted at, date of announcement 12.6.09 (12th June)

I see we are back to being fed the crumbs after last weeks nice 'Meal of the week' then?

With such a limited market for stuff like this

it would seem to make sense to have two deals

when stuff like this is on offer

Wasn't there already a discount on this car pack last year?

Was this one of the packs included for free in the collectors addition of the game?

Oh, also, just so you know, MIcrosoft already discounted this DLC once before last September. That's right, this lightning struck twice.

I just went out and bough the Platnium Hits version and got all the DLC included for $20 and the pre-order car. It's the cheapest way to get all the DLC. I gave my first copy of the game to my Brother-in-Law.  

Fail. 0/10 for imagination.

The biggest joke about this one is that it was discounted before.

Does anyone even look at the sales numbers for these things or is there just a dart board with year old content that Marketing throws darts at?

I guess MS isn't listening to the commotion and getting the point people don't get excited for bad deals on old content. Stuff like this should just be discounted permanently if they really want to milk it so bad.

Maybe this is part of Microsoft's strategy to wean people off free content, get people so mad about bad deals, stingy add ons, etc that they forget about how we used to get this stuff for free on the pc .

With deals like these, I don't like where the console marketplace is going. Is three game modes for $10 bucks the future? Might be time to upgrade that pc of mine. Probably wait until my current xbox breaks on me.

...Seriously? A couple bucks off a car pack for a two year old game? If the idea was to draw attention to an older title and get it generating sales figures again, it failed; this didn't make me interested in Forza Motorsport 2. Instead, I felt like I had wasted my time by checking this announcement. Last week's deal for Bionic Commando was a good one, but this doesn't entice me at all.

MajorNelson:  May I run the "Deal of the Week" portion of Microsoft's XBOX Live DLC Deal of the Week Marketing department?  Please?   I know I could do a better job.

In fact I think there are 10 year olds who could probably manage it better.

C'mon, put some pressure on your marketing guys to make sure that EVERY week there is at least ONE *REALLY GOOD* DLC available...along with the other mediocre limited market crap that seems to make its way to the Deal of the Week as often as not.

Someone in marketing that really wanted to keep his job would have made an all DLC deal just like they included for free in the platinum hits edition.

They finally give us one good deal last week and right back to crap this week. Pathetic

each week "deal of the week" should be in 2 parts first part an arcade game and the second part down loadable content for a game

Capcom is the reason we got an actualy good deal last week, not Microsoft.  Seriously, if the marketing guys can't do better than this, they should just quit trying. In my opinion they are either extremely stupid or just plain don't care.  This deal was pathetic the first time around and Microsoft goes and recycles the deal?  Makes no sense whatsoever.  Pitiful really.
