(American) Football fans, you can now show your team colors with the Official NFL Jerseys that are now available for your Xbox LIVE Avatar.
Just waiting for the comments about them being too expensive (which is pretty fair here).
320 MS Points!?!?!?!
320 points!!?
Ouchie!
The NFL nerds will lap them up though.
How about some Premier League football shirts?? ( Football not Soccer )
320 points? Really? UGH...went to the Marketplace with every intention on buying a Bills jersey..for 320 points though, I'll pass. Thanks!!!!
these are too expensive (just doing my part)
but seriously they aren't as expensive as I thought they would be
Yowzers, that IS pricey. Will probably still sell in droves though, so I can see why.
Can we get some NCAA action? I don't care if it's football or basketball.
So it looks like Microsoft is going the way of EA with micro transactions? Also, this reminds me of some horse armor.
For people wanting other sports, you'll probably see those closer to the release of those sports' games. Might get NBA or FIFA related ones soon, NCAA, MLB & probably NHL next year would be my guess.
These are too expensive - will pass!
Although I am not the type of person to buy themes or gamerpics, or even avatar clothes, I jumped on this even though it is $4 simply because I am a Titans fan. I have actually been wondering why it took so long to get this on the Marketplace.
I'm a football nut, but these are overpriced (though we'll no doubt see many avatars sporting them soon enough).
A hockey jersey would be nice, too, but I wouldn't pay these prices, personally. Vocal minority, though.
Still, questions:
1) Do these jersey's show your Gamertag on the back? Or at least a team name? (would be a nice touch)
2) Will we ever see "free" avatar clothing again? Things being added to the traditional set of outfits? Or has it become to profitable to be nice?
NuAngel
Will the numbers be changeable? For $4 I would expect some customization.
Now we need NHL, NCAA, MLB and NBA...but come on...320 points? If you guys are going to nickel and dime us, then at least give us XBL Gold for free!!!
Can you at least choose your number?
Good point SLAUGHTER!!! Give us GOLD for free & I'll buy clothes for my avatar all the time.
Wow, i like the idea and i love the st.louis rams shirt, but 320 POINTS?!?!?!
I'll pass. How can a game on marketplace be 400 points and a SHIRT be 320?
Give me a break. That waaaaaay overpriced!
Cool... I really hop where gonna get English Premier League Football kits at some point.
I want a Manchester Utd Kit or shirt for my avatar. and i know there are many 1000's more that support a Premier League team and want to represent with there avatar
The jerseys are too cheap. They should cost more. Just like the jerseys they sell at the pro shop! : P
This is actually pretty awesome and I think complaints about how overpriced it is seems misplaced. I'll assume the people making the complaints aren't fans of a sports team or they'd know that most sports merchandise IS expensive. Asking $4 doesn't seem as unreasonable as it could be.
HUGE NFL fan here... I would buy if it was reasonably priced. No way at 320.
320 MSP ($4.00 US) is very expensive for an avatar shirt.
May I ask Major, who exactly is responsible for the pricing structure of avatar items and do they live in the real world? 320 points for a inanimate avatar item, that doesn't even seem to be customisable is nothing short of extortionate...
It's a shame, as I was looking forward to the NFL shirts going up in the marketplace, and I'd even have been prepared to let my children get a shirt each IF the pricing had been reasonable, but nope - it's not, so you'll miss out on 2 sales from my family, and from what I'm reading, we're far from alone in our disgust at the insane pricing...
160 points is the maximum a single piece of clothing should be, and that's only if it's customisable like the Halo Hoodie USED to be - realistically , no single piece of clothing should be more than 80 points with the majority being no more than 40 points. Seriously, if the prices were lower, MS and the avatar marketplace vendors would make more money in the end, as, believe it or not, a hell of a lot more people would be prepared to invest in clothing for their avatars if they felt they were being treated like valued customers, rather than being the butt of a marketing joke.
JMO opinion, which it pains me to write, as I was really looking forward to the Avatar marketplace...
