With only a week away don't you think its pointless now?  People are going to play MW2. M$ always slow on the times....

Yeah just a tad bit late on this one, I'd say...

It's actually not a bad idea.  Most retailers are discounting MW2 substantially this month, meaning a lot of people who haven't picked up the original are doing so now in preperation for the sequel.  You might as well sell 'em map pack while they are at it.  Also, what are the chances of that map pack selling much more after this week?  You might as well discount it substantially to squeeze out your every last sale.  Seems like a smart move to me.

@andrew MP  - Actually it would have made better sense to have done it a few months after the Map pack was originally released.  You have to take into account the massive amounts of people who bought it prior to this deal.  Or did that just slip M$'s mind...  How can M$ say they have the gamers in mind when they are more opportunists than anything

@Lites. Dude MS doesn't own the content. Acti does. Sure MS gets a cut, but the content creator gets the majority of the $$$ from this sale and they would have known about MS discounting the content, so don't be so quick to lay all the blame on MS. And if you think thay're that much of an opportunist then stop buying their products or content, because as a consumer that is the best way to make your voice heard.

Guys, supply and demand.  Lowering the price is a good thing, many people never buy new games and will be getting this game has a "handmedown" from the MW2 buyers.

If they're so tight as not to pay full price for a game, they're too tight to pay full price for the mappack.

I think IW was banking on the fact that they could get more money from hard-core gamers while MW1 was the main game than they could selling it 1/2 price before MW2 came out.  

I agree, this like 6 months late, but still a good idea.

In what way does this possibly constitute a deal? Once in a blue moon there's an average offer, but 95% of them are a complete joke. Oh and half of them are timed to coincide with either DLC about to come out where it would be cheaper anyway (think Gears 2) or now in the case of COD4 when they know full well that nobody will be playing it this time next week.

@casa1 - M$ might not own the rights but they are the ones who set the release dates and offers....  The majority of the people commenting would agree this would have been a better deal if it were done earlier.....

What maps are in this one anyway?  This would have been better 2 months ago.  Now, Borderlands is taking up my 360 time.  I'm sure it will do so even after mw2 is released.

Why bother when WM2 is out very soon.  Another greedy M$ ploy.  What they should have done is lower the price much earlier in the year then the likes of people like me would have purchased the maps.  I'm not going to buy the maps, never will at the original price.

Remember people we have the power to decide to purchase stuff like the maps, games on demand, avatars, add-ons, etc.  What we have to so is bring M$ down on it's knees as it has ripped us off for years now and will continue to when idiots (nay retards) like yourselves are purchasing this crap.

First COD5 Maps go on sale and now COD4??  I think they know that those who love the COD series have already bought the maps and these games are about to start collecting dust on shelves or finding their way to the resell pile.  Happy hunting on 11/10/09....

I don't like this deal but come on people: this is a smart deal. A good way to squeeze every last buck from MW players. I can foresee a good sell boosting for this DLC.

Arcade Games on 50% for this month should be: 3 on 3 NHL Arcade (November 17th), Peggle and Death Tank (both on November 24th, together with Knothole Island, 3 deals on the same week. Peggle one could be a PopCap deal to incentivate buying Peggle Nights).

Good or bad this does drum up interest in XBLA games and add-ons.  Perhaps the powers that be should look into doing this more often?  Say a deal of the day?  That would drum up a ton of interest.

I bought this map pack the day they came out and wish I didn't.  I don't enjoy Creek and Killhouse NEVER appears in public online matches.  Anyone interested in this should just pick up a used copy of the GOY edition.

Hopefully all of the changes to multiplayer in MW2 aren't over the top and force everyone back to COD 4.

They should make them free to get more people playing COD4 and hype MW2.
