ESPN on Xbox LIVE has a lot going on as we head into the bowl season. Starting today, December 15th, the ESPN Xbox LIVE College Bowl Showdown kicks off! This is a pick’em mini-game. Beginning today through – 1/10, Gold LIVE members can launch into ESPN on Xbox LIVE and can enter the College Bowl Showdown, where you can pick which teams you think will win the 35 bowl games and earn score for their picks. Each participant will receive the ESPN avatar Jersey for participating in the pick’em. Between 1/1-1/10, participants who watch any of the bowl games during that timeframe will receive the ESPN Football hat. Also, you can enter the ESPN College Bowl Showdown Sweepstakes with a chance to win the grand prize: Trip to the 2011 ESPY awards and first prize: Trip to ESPN HQ’s.

I have just learned of a decision to postpone our planned Gears of War news from Epic Games for the Spike Video Game Awards this weekend. I wanted to share this with you and let you know that while these are never easy decisions, we can tell you that what we have to share for the franchise in 2011 will definitely be worth the wait and we look forward to working with our partner at Spike on sharing this world premier news when it is ready.

With all of my travel over the past few months, and the recent KINECT launch I have finally found time to get back into the groove of posting the LIVE Activity list. While the list has been on hiatus, I’ve decided to take the opportunity to think about how to make it a little more interesting. Here is the new schedule: Every other week, I’ll be posting the below list. This is the same list that you’ve come to know over the years.
