Last week’s NFL regular season finale was among the best in memory
, with teams advancing to the Playoffs or heading home for good in ways that defied prediction. Will the postseason be just as unpredictable? It’s time to find out.
This morning, the NFL on Xbox One debuted a new way to predict performances in upcoming Playoff contests, including the Pro Bowl and Super Bowl XLVIII. Participants will also be entered for a chance to win tickets to attend Super Bowl XLVIII or Super Bowl XLIX, as well as other exciting prizes.
All you have to do is launch the Xbox One’s NFL app (“Xbox, go to NFL”), and you’ll see a special Playoff Face Off category along the bottom. This week, answer questions such as “Which receiver will have the most yards on Wild Card Weekend?” (I selected Desean Jackson), “Will any kicker make a field goal of more than 50 yards?” (Probably not in Green Bay!), and “Will any games go into overtime?” (Your guess is as good as mine)
Accurate predictions can net you achievements, and we’ll update the questions every Tuesday. For more details and prizing info, head over to Xbox Wire. Good luck!

A demo for Dead Rising 3 is now available for Xbox One owners.
Download it and give it a try this weekend because I have 5 copies of the game to give away.
How can you win one?
All you need to do is download and play the demo, then leave a comment below (don’t @ reply me on Twitter) and tell me your favorite way to take zombies out. What is your preferred weapon, weapon combo or vehicle of destruction?
Or using “Xbox, Record That” and show the coolest thing you’ve done in the game, upload it to SkyDrive and drop the link in the comments. On Monday I’ll choose five random winners and send them a code for a digital copy of the full game.
Have fun and good luck!
The rules: Deadline to enter is 9:00 pm PT on Monday December 16th 2013. 5 randomly selected winner will be notified by e-mail or Twitter. One entry per person. Read this if you have questions about the Disqus commenting system. Contest is open to all regions where the Dead Rising 3 demo is available.
Note: If you do not have an e-mail address or Twitter name associated with your Disqus login, you must include your Twitter information in your comment to be eligible. Any winner who does not respond to my notification within 72 hours will forfeit the prize. For faster notification, follow me on Twitter where I can DM you if you won.
