I just bought BattleField 2 MC today , and Yes SERVERS ARE UP and running nicely. Was a game i played so much when it was release, and i just miss it too much,to me its a great online action game. There's not as many players as it used to be, but with GoD i hope others like me will buy it and we'll all have a fun warfare...

At the request of a fellow Live Member, I put the game (BFMC) in again today, to test the EA servers and the number of people playing after release on GoD. I actually got a game :) but it had very few players :( When I went to look at how many conquest games there were, I found 2 ranked, and 3 non-ranked. So while it is not going to have anywhere near the number of people as there were playing online in its heyday. BFMC does have some online capability.

Two nice games into the games on demand. Maybe price is a bit of an issue: The BF2 is one of those early XBox360 games. FarCry2 was much hyped. A nice game to play. Maybe an idea to put inside the game in games on demand all the DLC till date inside the same package at the same price?

I wouldn't recommend anyone buy Battlefield 2.  It's a multiplayer game with a crappy single player experience thrown in just to have one.  It relies on EA servers which EA regularly turn off for older games especially after sequels come out which now there's 1943 and Bad Company with Bad Company 2 going to come out.  I'd be surprised if there were very many servers left online to play BF2 on.  And if there's not a good multiplayer experience, the single player experience is worthless and not worth a buy.  Putting Bad Company up on GoD for $20 would be a seller.

There are NO servers for this game anymore. It was a great game in its day. But I tried to get a game a few weeks ago and could not. EA has pulled the servers offline :( So get it for the very average single player only. I can't see a price for this game in the Australian xbox marketplace. But I guess when it is available for download it will be overpriced at around $50AUD. This game is under $20AUD at most retail stores these days!

Bought BF2 a few weeks back for 8gbp and did not like it. I couldn't get on with the controls at all to be honest, i traded it in and got 5gbp back and bought it for the PC instead :)

Far Cry 2's a good game, except they really should remove the reference to flying as the only flying is in a woefully designed hanglider that if shot, spins out of control.

Also, Battlefield 2 hardly has a lively online community at all now. I finished up the achievements a few months ago and I was hard pressed to find more than 2 servers, even then you get disconnected randomly and sometimes get blocked from finding servers at all even though you know there are some active.

The thing about GoD is that they are overpriced - as most other users say - but the reason for that is that Microsoft doesn't want to "take away from retail sales". But here's the problem with that Microsoft... Most of the these games you are putting up on GoD are ones I would consider buying from the comfort of my home at a cheap price but wouldn't look twice at if I saw it cheap in a store... The convenience is the key, but paying $20 too much for convenience is a stupid ask and excusing yourself by saying that its because retail stores will take the punch doesn't make sense seeing as I'm not going to buy it from them either way.

The price i would buy is £5 for old titles and £10 for 6 month old titles im sure microsoft realise this already and are just catering to the 0.1% of mugs out there at the moment as £20 for a game i can get new at retail for £5 is just crazy
