I just chatted with the John, Tony and Chris from the Gamerscoreblog…and we’ve decided to do the oft talked about LIVE member meet-up this Wednesday night. If you are attending CES or if you just live in the area we’d love to meet you.

What: Xbox (and Games for Windows) LIVE member meet-up
Who: Anyone who wants to come
When: Wednesday, January 9th @ 6:30 pm.
Where: In-N-Out Burger (the one next to UNLV)

If you are at the Las Vegas Convention Center Wednesday when the show closes, the Gamerscore blog guys will have their Xbox 360 Hummer on stand-by to give the first 20 people a lift over to the In-N-Out. Just be in front of the Microsoft Press Tent, located in the convention center parking lot across the street from Central Hall entrance C2, at 6:00pm sharp. (You can’t miss the tent, it’s the only two story tent in town.)

One more thing, the Gamerscore blog guys have decided to pick up the the first round and since TriXie and e did not make the CES trip this year, come have a Double Double for them…on us.

Backstage at the Microsoft Briefing

As you can tell from the photo above, I am set up backstage for tonight’s Briefing here at CES in Las Vegas. There is a flurry of activity as everyone is getting prepared for tonight. I have uploaded some photos of the reheasersal to my Flickr site, and as the day progresses I’ll snap a few more. Keep an eye on my Twitter during the show as I live blog the event, or watch the entire thing live on Microsoft.com

On my way to CES 2008

I am traveling to Las Vegas today for the annual Consumer Electronics Show where Bill Gates will be giving his last Keynote speech. The event kicks off Sunday (tomorrow) night at 6:30pm PT from the Venetian Hotel on the strip in Las Vegas. Much like last year, I have a prime seat backstage to record the entire Keynote directly off of the sound board which I will be uploading it as soon as I can to my show stream. If you don’t want to wait for the audio, you can watch the briefing live on Microsoft.com (You’ll need to download Silverlight to watch the event.) I will be also live blogging the event on my Twitter, so keep an eye on that if text is your thing.
When the show opens, I’ll be kicking out some videos for Xbox.com and the U.S. version of Inside Xbox. Keep an eye on John, Tony and Chris over at the Gamerscoreblog who will also be at the show. We will all be taking snaps and sending them up to Flickr (Gamerscoreblogs Flickr) and tagging them as CES2008. I am working on my schedule (which is very tight) to see if we can do a CES Xbox LIVE Member meet-up…if I can pull one together I’ll let you know. If you are attending the show this year, keep and eye out for me as I desperately search for the hottest of the coolness this year at the show. (hint: I am open to suggestions!)

Headed to CES 2007

I am headed to CES in Las Vegas tonight. I’ll at the Bill Gates Keynote Sunday night (backstage recording the show) so I’ll be posting as many photos as I can get away with through out the day. Starting Monday, we’ll be posting videos and photos of the show action on Xbox.com. I’ll be looking for anything cool and gaming related that I come across at the show, so if you see anything…let me know! Also, check out the Microsoft CES blog for details on how to watch the keynote live at your PC. As I mentioned, I am recording the entire Keynote and will post that on my MP3 and WMA feeds as soon as I can get them compressed and uploaded. I imagine that will be about 9pm PT Sunday night. I am also bringing my Zune to see if I can get any ‘social’ action and have a better experience then Tycho did with his device. Are you going to CES ? If so, look for me running around with a camera (and Zune) looking for any new consumer electronics hotness.
