This game is bad... real bad. It is so out of touch. If it were supossed to be a funny satire on the genre it might work. All of the lingo and culture is so far off that it boarders on racist. Super weak.

Sure.... pepechidoone..... just make a US silver account. All you need is some info.... like a U.S. address and zip code... that crap.... and an email address. use hotmail. I'm sure if you google it you will find instructions.... not that you need them. I guess it's against the law.... but so is recording a football game and downloading music.

I had a couple of "GTA-ites" run the demo through yesterday, and they loved it.

Now, like every game type, you have the fanboys who can nitpick a clone into the ground.

But these two did not. They liked it, they liked it a lot. Better graphics, the framerate was fine (for a demo), and the demo itself is pretty big.

And there is already a workaround for the AK47 I see. I will have to try that.

But all in all, it seems to be a pretty nice GTA type game. If you like this type of game, you will not be disappointed.

This game sucks. It's exactly like GTA. Down to the button. Nothing but updated graphics (which aren't really good on the 360) and a few cheap gimmicks (drugs) all to a "gangster" story. So original, 'cause we all know that's how life out on "da streets" really is. glad I downloaded the demo, cause I was almost gonna get it. Not now. Horrible, horrible, rip off of a game. Bet Rockstar North right now is making sure no one stole their source code. I expected a lot more from Volition

Got this last night and took it for a spin today. It's very obviously a GTA knockoff, but they've tweaked the gameplay enough that it's not a been-there-done-that affair. The graphics blow GTA out of the water. I don't know how anyone can seriously claim otherwise. Shiny cars, awesome explosions, car parts flying everywhere and pedestrians go flying off in ragdoll-mode when you run them down. It's not terribly realistic, nor is the car handling at times... But it looks very cool. Tricking out a ride in the garage should be interesting - I shot up the windshield of a punk driving a nice car and when I went round the side to hop in I noticed the car had those "spinner" rims. Nice! Some form of "auto aim" would be nice for those of us who have a little trouble aiming with a controller, but I guess that might also make some parts of the game fairly trivial, even with the AI often being smart enough to duck for cover. The "'Hood Control" aspect of it looks interesting as well. Taking over areas controlled by rivals and actually seeing tangible benefits, like a steady income, is a nice touch. I just hope the full game doesn't rely so heavily on having to perform the side quest/"Activities" to progress. The developers were touting the freeform nature players could progress with if they wanted to. Going out and stealing two ho's over and over for the one pimp is not my idea of "freeform fun". :( With all the swearing and violence and ho-stealing and drug use going on, I expect it's going to have a hard time seeing a release in Australia in an unedited form though. Which is a shame, since it'll likely mean it'll get banned, not edited down since everything is intertwined...

YAAY Major really can you do this ? Put the silver people on a server with a 28.8k line hooked up to it And let the Silver ppl use Online gaming service i dont care how long does it take to download the file i just want to game online without Stupid Fee's

This game looks fun. I let my GF play the *** out of it last night, finished up the demo.. i look over.. she's started it again.. haha! Just hope they let you build chicks in the final version .. probably not though.. that'd require too much work! ;) just in case anyone's listening.. WE NEED TO BE ABLE TO BUILD CHICKS FOR OUR GIRLS/WIVES OR FOR THE HORNY FAT BASTARDS

its shocking sure, if you've been avoiding the news for the past few years. if kids are playing mature rated games its the parents fault. sorry but if you care about what your son is playing (which you should), take the extra step to watch your kid turn the console on the first time and step in when the parental controll comes up. the only a rated games is only there for nudity, because by our standards nudity is worse than all the language and violence on tv. I think its shocking personaly its set up like that but you gotta lisen ot the news reports and understand that if you dont step in and take a intrest to what your kid is playing/could be playing. think of the movies that get the X rating. R is the same as MA 17+ and people need to understand that sorry long letter but i just am sick of people blaming the gaming community for letting a person underage play a game thats marked for someone much older. and i mean theres alot of people out there, just cause when i play perfect dark zero or dead alive 4 its hard to miss the kids. if you stop you're kids from playing these games the MA titles will not target you're children. sorry again for lenght but yeah just somthing thats frustrating cause i dont want anyone to be unsatisfied with features such as parental control that people have worked hard on to make it work correctly. as a 19 year old guy tho i love saints row ha :)

never ran slow for me... major, there's a serious problem with the xbox live version of the demo though...

perhaps it got corrupted upon uploading?

Sweet demo, cant wait for the game. Bill-I dont think its xboxlives fault at all, cause i just downloaded it an hour ago and it only took an half hour to download and i dont have very fast internet.
