To the guy who mentioned the bomb attacks. Bomberman DS was released to people who bought it online, on 7/7 last year.

Also, I think it looks awesome, great fun, so what is they're not the guys we're used to, aslong as the game's still fun i'll keep it.

Add me to the "Bring Bomberman Original to XBLA and dump this 'new' Bomberman Act Zero crap" camp. I'm not going to piss and moan... I'm just going to tell you what I want. Bomberman, the CLASSIC. On XBLA. For 600 MSP. Oh, and someone tell Hudson/Konami to stuff it if they think we're going to pay $3.25 for some stupid pics... That's so ridiculous, it's comical.

none of you have played the game yet so stop being little bitches about it a wait til you play it to judge. I for one am looking forward to it, i dont need offline multiplayer thats what mario party is for cant wait for the new bomberman 8 players online sounds tight as hell and im glad he looks all bad ass now and life bars and items are optional so stop bitchin about it anyways thats my opinion im a guy who looks at the glass half full. They added new power-ups in place, though, and the game is considerably less random because of it. Instead we get power-ups to walk through bombs and soft walls, both of which rock in competition - they've been in previous games, but never in multiplayer. Also there's the infinite bomb, which is a first for this Bomberman. The levels are the same because of the environment. I assume there is more to come in the future, as this game represents Bomberman breaking out from an underground cell. Now he's broken out and got to the surface of the earth, perhaps they'll introduce more variety in the sequel.

Don't get me wrong, the online Bomberman in BAZ, is trademark Bomberman, but even then it's still not the same thing. First off, there are some power-ups missing (I know the kick bomb is gone...what else? From what I saw, it seems only the Bomb, Flame, and Speed pick-ups remain). Second, is there stage variety? The only screenshots and videos I've seen only show the same level. Third, not having offline multiplayer is a travesty...come on, it's Bomberman without offline multiplayer??? It NEEDS offline multiplayer as well as XBL.

I thought I'd post a comment since 100% bad feedback doesn't look that great for the game. I bought Bomberman: Act Zero when it first came out in Japan, and together with the Japanese people playing this game, I have had a blast of a time so far. Though the game lacks offline multiplayer, the online multiplayer is untouchable. The power ups are great and the game is typical old-school Bomberman. I just wish that Major Nelson could find time to show us what the gamerpics actually look like. I know one of the packs has an old-school Bomberman icon (I saw it on someone's profile), but I don't know which one :(

Is he giving you the run around too Major? Man, that's tough. Anyway, please, please let Greg know that everyone wants classic 2D Bomberman! It can be the Saturn version, any of the SNES versions, even a port of the GBA versions. We just want classic 2D Bomberman! The new look and omissions mentioned above are just not what makes Bomberman... Thanks!

It's obvious you're not going to track down Greg Canessa to clear up the mess he's made with his Joystiq interview (new announcement for next batch of XBLA games 1-2 weeks ago and announcing Texas Hold 'em was going to cost us)...can you at least get the message to him that Bomberman: Act Zero is a complete and utter turd and we all want classic 2D Bomberman on XBLA!!!
