Wow, I'm glad to see companies aren't afraid to eat up bandwidth with > 1GB downloads! This should be good to test my faster connection, up from 5Mbps to 10Mbps download and up from 256kbps to 1Mbps upload :P sucks to have DSL instead of cable, doesn't it :P

I LOVE the 2K series and the NBA 2K series is the best. I've played this demo for hours already, and it's fantastic. Any NBA fan has to buy this game when it comes out. Live will really have to get its act together if they even want a chance this generation...

Hah! Basketball love just like hockey? Dear NFL, this is what you are missing. Not zombie fanbots versus the guys who want 2kNEXTGENF**KING5 badly. Nope, open debate between the TWO COMPANIES doing NBA and NHL titles. Okay, the pros and cons of this demo: Pros: Looks good, but some models get iffy on closeups. Active, multiple crowd modeling design. FAST - is it me or do they 2K guys have "gamespeed" down to a science? Overall "game experience" feeling. Cons: Some "last-gen" graphics pop up on the models. And now the Bad area - the AI is brutal. Not plays bad, more like good luck getting a pass over half court. The AI is tough. And Shaq, my God, the man just can't shoot in this game. I mean, we know he has his moments, but this demo makes the real life Shaq look like 81 point Kobe. So tweak the AI and add one more layer to the face engine and this is a solid, solid game. Will EA step up? Let me guess, NBA three contest demo! Play Dwayne or Dirk for one minute, which means you will get about 6 balls off... I sincerely, sincerely hope that EA steps up a little more this time. And just to throw this tidbit in the mix: Hey 2K Games, how about a demo for MLB 2K6? Now that game is supposedly fixed, how about poping off a White Sox/Astros three inning demo to stand up to EA's Madden 07 demo? It could spur some interest now that the Wild Card race is heating up. It is time to do something cool; and exclusive vs exclusive on XBL is pretty damn cool.

Why do marketplace download speeds suck for me? Why did it take me 8 and half hours to download this demo today? I've had a 360 since launch and my download speeds over the marketplace have gotten progressively worse over time. I'm hooked up wirelessly, but its not my equipment because I can stream recorded tv shows and movies from my media center without problems. I also don't have very many lag problems when playing online. Just as an example - the NBA 2k7 demo was 1.02 GB in size and took 8 and a half hours to download. I downloaded the Company of Hereos PC demo yesterday, which is 1.8 GB and it only took me an hour and a half. I've actually skipped downloading a ton of demos over the last month becuase it takes way too long to bother.

IMPORTANT POST* Game developers listen very carefully. I am a huge NBA live fan...Got a copy every year since it was launched...begged my momma and now I buy the series as a grown up! Just played a couple quarters, I can't wait for the full game. So many little details - Nowitzki's FTs with his knees pushed against each other, Shaq's lane-violation-inducing FT routine Oh, teams were Mavs vs Heat (if you didnt figure it out already) - you get one 4-minute quarter, only options in the menu are to view controls and choose sides

It was out in April here in Australia for 2K6 :) The season was nearly over by then... I don't understand how EA can release their Basketball title worldwide every year, yet 2k Sports only releases for US...

Excellent... how long till EA puts out a Live 07 demo ;) I doubt it will be the day after like 2K did for NHL 07 ;)

Can anyone point me at the page where we can report slow marketplace speed to the XBox crew? I can't seem to find the link...

On 11.5mbit DSL it shouldn't be taking more than 2 hours to download 1gig. Perhaps the Marketplace needs some akamai style caching, like Apple does (always fast speeds to OSX updates and their trailers).

How many people ask the same questions over and over without listening to answers? It's been said a million times: "There is usually licensing or legal reasons for some content not being released in certain regions at certain times." How many time does Major have to say it? Read what I said above, repeat it to yourselves over and over until the need to post the same question for the 20th time in a comments sections goes away...
