After reading some of the above comments, it would seem that the combined list was pulled, leaving only separate Xbox 360 and Xbox lists (and Arcade titles).

I don't know, Narc. Look at what e said. I can believe that GOW has had more gamertags play it. Remember, 360 Live membership is free. To play on the Xbox, one needs to have a paid account.

I'm under the impression that since Halo 2 is not a 360 game, even if it was still #1 on live (and I firmly believe that to be so) it would not be included on the list for 360 games. I agree with earlier statements that Halo 2 would still top a combined list.

Because they don't want to show that an old game like Halo 2 is still beating out the new games on the 360.

They also need to stop listing Oblivion in the XBL listing. Sure the game is Live Aware, but it's not online.

These lists are worthless if you're not comparing across all parts of Live.

What is the most popular game on Live? Is it Gears or is it Halo?

Gears might have taken Halo over a month back, but I don't expect that to hold.

This list is nothing more than Microsoft wanting to get people buying Gears of War.
