Despite rcholbert's thoughts on the matter not every comment is left with the expectation that Major personally take responsibility; besides which, it's been empirically shown that folks at Microsoft do take the time to gauge Live's community's sentiments on blogs such as this.

So rcholbert, unless you have anything valuable to add to the debate don't waste your time whining!

I love how all the non-US folks whine and whine on here as if the good Major can do something about every little issue that is bothering.

FOX (USA) released this on the XBLA marketplace (USA). Instead of whining Major, whine to Sky (UK) or whoever carries 24 across the ocean. I'm pretty sick of everyone over there spamming this site everytime something doesn't get released over there. European companies are responsible for European content. Not Major.

Note: This can also apply to all the those whining about no XBL Video Marketplace in Canada or Europe.

I figure if theres anyone to blame its the European XBOX division of Microsoft; they simply aren't bothered with pursuing UK / European content; so it's left up to the US division who care even less.

One thing that really bugs me about Live Video Marketplace is the video rentals; granted TV shows are subject to all sorts of network agreements and such but to try and use the same excuse for movie downloads is just pure laziness. It's not like thesefilms aren't available to buy/rent on DVD across the globe!

Quite frankly I have no sympathy for Hollywood if their product is downloaded for free - it may not be defensible but if they can't be bothered to sort out a legal means to get hold of the content then they get what they deserve.

Whereas I understand that there are restrictions on licenses, etc. that mean the UK doesn't get a simultanious release, I still find it hard to understand that, in a time of inter-connectivity and broadband connections linking us all up together, that media companies still have these restrictions.

This goes for movie releases, themes, gamerpictures... I get that it's not Microsoft's fault, but maybe they could at least get a move on in securing a video marketplace and HD content rental for Europe and the rest of the world.

This is bad, why can't we get the pics. As someone mentioned, Murdoch owns both Sky One and Fox, so what's the beef?
