- No particular comment. At this point, I don't really view it as adding anything to my 360 experience, which I suppose you could view as a massive problem in the first place. Or none at all.

Xbox 360

- I've downloaded and kept at least the trial games for all of my Live Arcade titles. They pop up a lot faster now, but they still take up to ten seconds to fully load. Not a big problem, just an annoyance.

- I have over seven gigabytes of videos on my 360's hard drive. TV show episodes that I like carting around, trailers that I enjoy watching again and again (Bioshock!), etc. However, they take a LONG time to load every single time I open the videos section. The same load time applies whether I choose "All Videos" or any of the subcategories, even if that particular subcategory only has one or two videos listed under it. I don't know how it could be streamlined, but the load times for the list of Live Arcade titles was immensely improved and I'm sure the same kind of fix could be applied to the videos.

- Come to think of it, any time I jump into the memory management section of my 360 (in the actual settings section), it takes forever to load everything.

- When returning to the dashboard from most games (via the "Y" button from the Guide), it takes up to fifteen seconds to load. I don't see why shutting down the game can't be turned into a background process for a few seconds while I'm instantaneously returned to the dashboard.

- Why does the guide take up to five seconds to pop up at times? I don't get it.

- Support for more video and audio files. MP3 is the standard, but support for .aac, .aiff, etc. files would be nice. I love my lossless formats.

- In the Music section of the dashboard, my iPod always loads immediately, but whenever I go to "Select Music" from the Guide in the middle of a game, it takes about half a minute for the 360 to scan my iPod's database and then display it. This makes no sense, and is VERY annoying, especially when I accidentally choose an artist and have to wait for it to load again to correct my mistake.

- Support for more video formats. .WMV files are all fine and dandy, but support for .avi, .mpg/.mpeg, .mov, etc. files would be very handy. Divx (.avi) is a much more widely accepted standard than .wmv, and it would be nice to see it supported.

- Bigger hard drives. My drive is bloated with demos, extra map packs, trailers, TV shows, and Live Arcade games. I will buy a bigger hard drive as long as the price isn't too crazy. $100 for a solid state 20G drive is ludicrous. Give me an 80G drive for $100, or even a 60G, and I will be more than grateful. I'm sure I'm not alone on this, but there's no way I'm reading all of those comments. I CANNOT STRESS HOW BIG OF AN ISSUE THIS IS ENOUGH.

- If not, then support for REAL external hard drives. I have a 500 GB external LaCie drive that runs off of an external power supply. It can connect through USB 2.0, but I tried plugging it into the power and then connecting it to my 360. No luck. I don't see a point in wasting money on a tiny external drive when I can get more bang for my buck (however much larger it is).

Xbox Live

- Removal of that crappy 50 MB limit for Live Arcade titles. If they included everything in one Lumines package for twenty dollars instead of being forced to split it into two 50 MB packages for ten dollars each, I'm sure there would have been far less complaining going on. It's happening for Symphony of the Night, and it should be allowed for ALL Live Arcade titles. Sony has no such limit and they're already selling complete titles over their online service, something that's already getting people's attention. If the 50 MB limit isn't removed, XBLA will no longer be a selling point.

- If and when that happens, the sale of full titles over Live. One of my favorite rumors was the idea that Microsoft would be making full, updated titles available over Live, and that the original Halo would be one of the first titles made available, updated with full online multiplayer. Personally, I prefer Halo 1's multiplayer over Halo 2's by far. This could be placed under a different category than Arcade, but I just want to see it done. I'd be more than willing to purchase it again. Seperate the poseurs from the real gamers with some kind of "Legendary" achievement.

- Speaking of XBLA, it would be the perfect vehicle to port Shoot-Em-Ups to. It's a bit of a niche market over here, so we don't get many anymore, but they're still coming out with vertical-scrolling shooters for the Dreamcast over in Japan (!). I'm not saying that it's necessary to go through the trouble of translating entire titles (although it would be pretty nice), but if we could get more of those classic arcade shooters (from "Raiden II" to "Espgaluda"), I'd be buying them left and right.

- This "one game every Wednesday, which may be retro or feel like shareware!" thing really isn't cutting it. More, more! I appreciate that far more work is being done in making retro titles into XBLA titles than some people put into such things (such as the "hey, here are some emulated ROMs!" philosophy of Nintentdo's Virtual Console), but still. More content, faster, and the classic retro titles should be more exciting. I know some people lose it over things like Pac-Man and Dig-Dug (I loved Galaga), but how about something like Gunstar Heroes or Radiant Silvergun? Symphony of the Night is a really, really big step in the right direction, as was Doom. If we get more material like that on XBLA, then, again, I'd be spending a lot more money on it.

- More movies available in HD. I know it's something everyone's been clamoring for, but it needs to be on this list.

- Come to think of it, more TV shows available in HD would be nice, too.

- More trailers. How come the PS3 owners get the new 300 trailer but we only get the old teaser? What the hell?

- Better organization for the "Newly Released" category. Seeing them all in alphabetical order is nice, but there REALLY needs to be some kind of way to organize them by "Date Updated" or something. There's nothing more annoying than having to check an old title for something new, only to find that it's only on the list because of something from two weeks ago, or just plain missing something new because it's under the category of something that was there last week.

- Proper upkeep of the ads and everything. The "Superman Returns: Available in HD" ad was up in several sections of XBLM for that week or so that it wasn't available in HD. I was even able to select the ad and was taken to a "Superman_Returns_HD_Inactive" page. Kind of sloppy.

- More free stuff! Free gamerpics and themes are always a treat.

- More stuff in general. I love going on XBLM and seeing something new, and if something new and at least moderately interesting was put up on a daily basis, then it would become just as vital of a daily routine as checking my e-mail. I'd probably be more likely to download things, too.

Thanks for your time, Major. The fact that you guys actually opened this invitation is very, very encouraging, and knowing how quickly you guys responded to past issues (the 1080p fix comes to mind), it gives me much more faith in the teams that are keeping me spending money on my 360 (definitely a good thing).

Keep it up!

re: The future of Xbox 360, Xbox.com and Xbox Live

FREE ONLINE MULTIPLAYER

re: The future of Xbox 360, Xbox.com and Xbox Live

-Fighting games- there are plenty of great 2d fighters on the xbox. BC them. i want to play ggx2, street fighter 3, and kof. i already bought them and the 360 has been a terrible disappointment in this category whereas the original xbox excelled here.

-please make a new d-pad. i'll buy another controller if you do. how about having sega tool that USB saturn pad of theirs to work nicely on the 360. sf2t does not feel right with analog or that highly inaccurate (inexplicably raised) d-pad.

-international (or even intranational) regions added as suffixes (or small flags) to gamertags or required of developers to be added in match listings.

-to build on that idea, maybe a second and third flag to represent what languages the gamer is conversant in

-display game/movie name in the Play Game section

-the system should not automatically boot the game on insertion of a disc. give the option. they made good with the system booting to menu/game option, but when i put a disc in, sometimes i still want to sit down and browse the marketplace a bit.

-it seems most games with ranked matches do nothing to actually separate the different skill levels. please change that or at least add a 3rd option for ranked "open-weight" matches. ranked matches should have you progress through the ranks to move on and fight the big boys. i just started r6V and i always get stuck with decorated vets when im a private second class

-speed up those menus and hard drive access. i have 10gb free, yet it moves at the rate of a union worker.

-ability to choose the location of pop-up for system notifications (the bottom center is not preferred)

-ability to back up ALL save files to memory unit or computer. do not allow companies like tecmo to pull that stupid file protection either. my data in DOA:U and DOA4 were corrupted numerous times, and i assure you that it was not my fault. i cant back up my beloved ninja gaiden files either.

-keyboard/mouse support for those pc FPS conversions like FEAR. if the ps2 version of Half-Life could do it, so can the 360. this could make the difference for some on which version they choose. my 360 is better than my current pc and i dont yet have a ps3. if FEAR is as good on PS3 as 360, and it supports mouse and keyboard, then i will get that version once i get a ps3.

re: The future of Xbox 360, Xbox.com and Xbox Live

More than a 24-hour period to rewatch/play videos after hitting play for the first time.

- It's still a bad storefront; with huge amounts of space on the system reserved for huge ads that are all too often only showing house content.

- Show the product. Currently, there's only tiny little slivers of candy-bar header content, and showing more would provide a more colorful, browsing-friendly experience. Otherwise, everyone just sticks to "what's new".

- Reduce the number of button presses needed to perform common actions like buying multiple items of content; having to nest in and then nest back with the B button is a waste of time and will lose you money as people get lost and lose their place.

Xbox/Xbox 360:

- Beyond Good And Evil.

- Support for PAL50 xbox games on 360s using VGA adapters

- 10:16 resolutions (by stretch or black bars; it hardly matters which).

- Resolutions above 1300x768 and below 1920x1080

Focus on improving the shopping experience and reducing the enormous wastage of the ads; it makes your user experience suck. Focus on ensuring that every 360 user gets the best possible picture. Refine.

re: The future of Xbox 360, Xbox.com and Xbox Live

Things I would like to see on the 360.

2) Custom themes not just one background for everything.

3) Custom Gamer Pic without camera i.e. through USB device

4) Video support other than WMV.

5) Video "skip to next" function same as in the image section. Also a transparent on screen list of videos and images like in Windows Media Player 9.

6) DVI cable instead of VGA if possible.

7) Multiple downloads at once AND/OR larger list of waiting downloads

8) "Up to date" on a particular section of xbox live marketplace i.e. when new content is available in a selected section you will be notified.

If I think of any more I'll come back.
