Major, can we have a bitrate counter for video and audio when playing back video files, DVDs and HD DVDs on the dash? The PS3 has one and I'm finding it really useful!

I have become totally addicted to HD content, whether it is the games, trailers or even a "dog sleeping". My Xbox HDVD drive is so cool. And gears of war at 1080i set on "Lucid" - just kicks major ass.

I am waiting for some HD content on music videos, that will be cool.

Hey, what do they mean by "Viral Video" as a selection on the Xbox selection screen?

Need bigger hard drive, for all the content that these guys are going to get us. - 1Terabyte or bust.

(i will be thankful if they go 300GB on the next hard drive)-

I think if in the long run, if this is going to work they are going to have to allows us to burn backup at home. I really can't see collecting 300Gb of content and then downloading for the next 47 days if the HD fails - and they eventually will.

Let's hope that the Major and his Crack Team at Xbox comes up with a great work around. ---- Let's face it up till now these guys have exceeded my expectations. We are a long way from Pong, I remember Pong, I should have kept the thing.

Anyway, I think giving away free pilot episodes for download is a great way to spike interest in TV shows.

A free episode of Skyland? I don't really care for it, but I think releasing some pilot episodes for free is a good idea. If viewers like the pilots, chances are that they may end up wanting to see other episodes in the series.

Yes I, and the vast majority of scientists, believe that the changes of the composition of the atmosphere heats up earth. CO2 is only one of the GG's, but a very important one because it takes such long time for the CO2 to go back to the form of oil or whatever it came from. The 99,27% of the natural CO2(don't know if its right) is of course essential for life. If it wasn't there the earth would be extremly cold and plants wouldn't be able to photosyntesise energy. (there would be no life as based on carbon and the oxidation of carbohydrates).

Lets say that combining all the GG's that we have released adds up to 1% of the naturally occuring ones.. And have in mind that CH4 and N2O is far more effective than CO2 to reflect heat. Why do you then think its so strange that the temperature and climate would change?

One of your links is about that plants now take up more CO2 than before to "even it out" (while we're chopping trees down). If that was true there would be no changes in CO2 in the atmosphere.

Even if Al Gore was making millions off of the film, (which he is NOT) that is BESIDE THE POINT, the message is still the same. It's not political. "Global Climate Changes" is not the same as "Liberals ramming ideas I don't like down my throat." Maybe it just feels that way to some because the current administration's stance that it can't really be happening, so when someone talks about it, they get painted as a enemy to the state.

Set aside the hate. Just watch the film. Then at least you'll know what you're commenting on

hey be logical i don't think you quite realise how little of something can have a big difference to life.

i don't even think about global warming, but i do know australia is suffering through the longest drought we've ever had. the el nino effect we normally get for a few years before the la nina effect brings the rain back, failed us and we missed the rains la nina brings.

is it humanity that caused it? i don't know, but i'd really like to not find out what level five water restrictions means. and a good dousing would certainly alleviate that fast approaching deadline.

To put these figures in perspective, it is estimated that the atmosphere contains 750 Gt C.

That makes CO2 = 0.73%

The rest = 99.27%

Do you really think that 0.73% can alter the globes temperature? You don't think 99.27% would have anything to do with it?

you think 15% increase is a lot huh? so you went from 4.67 Gt C to 5.5 Gt C from 1959 to 2001, right? so CO2 went from 0.62% to 0.73%

@ WykdWayz---Daybreak will probably never come to VMP now since it was cancelled after only five or six episodes.

And about the whole Al Gore/ Global Warming thing...first off, isn't Wikipedia the site where you can make a "definition" say whatever you want? And second, when you can show me an accurate thermometer from 300 years ago, not to mention 1000 years ago, along with ice shelf measurements and the like, I might pay a little more attention. Don't get me wrong, I do my part, and am environmentally "aware", but simply have a hard time accepting estimates and freaking out, when we KNOW there was already one Ice Age along with a lot of other catastrophic land mass changes, all most likely due to the dinosaurs driving SUVs and misusing their bones (i.e. what we know refer to as fossil fuels).
