Am I the only one who feels like IF they feel that they must charge for this kind of thing that the least they could do is include all the acts in one guide for 100 points total? This is one of the worst price-to-content deals I have seen yet on marketplace. Please, no one buy this junk. Look it up for free on any of the million guides available on the internet, or maybe just play through the game yourself and find them; it's not too terribly difficult.

I think that Major does care... let's remember that this is an unofficial blog that is updated on his sapre time.... (still true?)

That being said, I do think MS will just turn-off users to the marketplace if this keeps up - I suspect they will make some money for putting together and releasing videos that cost pretty much nothing... especially since Brady games produces the videos and MS just puts them on the marketplace and takes their cut.

I personally use marketplace mainly for trailers and demo's (free stuff), the paid stuff I tend to stay away from except the occasional XBLA title.

What happened to the bundle everything up to drive cost down argument? They sure as heck didn't do it with these downloads did they? There is no reason that Activision should have a problem releasing GH songs one by one now that we have seen this stunt. M$ and the publishers really need to fix the pricing and groupings on all future marketplace content.

It's time I start seeing some value with my gold account. Give me a discount on marketplace content, buy two get one free, coupons, lower the prices on old content or make it free at a certain date, etc. etc.

Totally pointless- all of this information can easily be found on the internet, which anyone who is capable of using the marketplace already has access to. If anything, make all the cog tags in one video- not a blatant rip-off of 100 points an act (when the amount of tags in each act isn't even the same).

On a constructive note, as an xbox live gold member I'm not really a happy customer, I dont think that there is enough variety or benefit for being a gold member. I can't play any decent MMORPG's on xbox live, it still has the same racing/shooting games that we had 5 years ago at launch so hasn't evolved to give a richer gaming experience.

I would happily cancel my subscription and pay £9 per month to play world of warcraft or free FPS games on the pc (plus the awesome free mods) If gold members were given more free stuff and incentives for being gold members (that south park episode was great) then I would consider keeping my subscription. doesnt MS know that youtube.com exists.

That's the point I'm making too... MS has a hand in the pricing...they have a hand in marketing to third parties to GET them to even offer content... MS is GOING to these companies ASKING for stuff to put on marketplace.

Uh ... Microsoft? You realise that all releases are uploaded to the relevant servers, the metadata added, certified, and released for public consumption by Microsoft, right? No one else has the actual authority to release content to the marketplace except Microsoft...

In this case, Microsoft didn't make the content, and didn't set the price for it. What they did do was allow this stuff on the service in the first place.

They could simply say the following to Bradygames in response to their request to create 5 mini guides for 100 points each:

"Sorry, we are not prepared to host this content at that price, as we don't believe it to be good value for our customers, and as such is potentially damaging to our Xbox brand."

On the next Dashboard update I want a tab that will show me all the people that buy this so I can ridicule them ;) Seriously, maybe Brady games should talk to gamers and see what they are willing to pay on things like this before releasing it.

Obviously ms isn't the one behind the pricing-by themselves...

but someone at ms is marketing to companies to sell the 3rd party companies products/etc, and is suggesting prices to them.

sorry but ms doesnt get a free pass.
