What will microsoft do if they make a mistake and ban a non-modded xbox 360 console major?

I believe that M$ should be aggressive in their stance of zero tolerance for banning modded 360's from live. I would like to know though from MajNelson is it possible like some of the posters have complained that they became banned even though their xboxes have not been modded?

my xbox as not been modded and its ban after phone calls and email and been told i will be back on later in the day and i never got back on , all i can say.

all i can say is all the un modded 360s i will get to the end of is, ms have been banning um modded 360s and way, anyway see you in court MS and yes i have all ready started with my case as i 360 been of to be tested and had a latter back say it not been open or modded my lawer as all the papper work and been told i have a v good case, and all so he told me he as alot more cases like this on

althought i think piracy may be out of control i still think MICROSHIT should focus more effort in making the console more reliable

The R.o.D or "ring of death" syndrome these console seem to be suffering keeps getting worse.

I am now on my third xbox360 most of my friends are on there second & third console's

So when will MICROSHIT get with the program and get this kind of *** sorted out before they start killing more xbox360's that have managed to putt along this far.

the failure rate of this console has soared to levels never seen before & with banning the few xbox360's that actually did work the failure rate will increase even more!!!

get your f@ckin priority's straight & fix this F@ckin issue already!!!!

it's commonly known that the issue is with the solder used on the GPU so fix it all ready

even the NEWBIE's can figure this out with a little "GOOGLE".

This is retarded!!! My dad just call support and after talking to 5 different people. they came up with that Xbox can't do nothing to lift the ban or anything to correct this and now we have a 400 dollar paper weight for something my brother never do except be really good at GoW.And we have a tournament to practice in. This is truely unbelievable!! Major nelson we need your support to change this or there will be legal action against for accusing people who have never modded or dont even know how to.

my brother got banned and has this code. He never has modded or even knows how to mod a 360. For god sakes he is 13 years old. XL is stuppid, how does he get banned for modding when he never has. There are 3 xbox's in the same house for different people. So how do i get this ban lifted?!?!?

Major a have to admmit Microsoft was dumb, ever person in the world will simply make xbox 360 do the 3rl error and exchange for a new one, you guys extended the warranty so who will pay the price will be Wall-Mart and other stores

It's only a matter of time before the hipervisor vulnerability becomes mainstream, and everyone will be able to run homebrew. banning people from XBL does nothing to stop piracy, it just alienates people from the community. Piracy cannot be stopped, ask Sony and their PSP, they have not been able to stop customized firmware hacking, no matter how many updates to the firmware.

If I want to spend $2 on a XBOX360 game instead of $60, I should have the choice. I shouldn't have to be forced to buy original games if they are bad like Madden07, when there is a cheaper alternative. If most games weren't so bad, I wouldn't have burn dvds of them, I would just buy them. The best way to stop piracy is to make better games.

I already spent a $400 on my console, why should I have to spend $60 on every new game I want to buy? Is renting a game and finishing it piracy even though I didn't spend sixty bucks on it, just a couple??

The more you try to stop piracy the more it will flourish.

Hahaha so many peeps got a new XBOX 360 from WALMART and other retailers. They returned their bannored console (forced ROD) to get a fresh one! New Firmware is coming soon.

See Microsoft, now you have to replace thousands of consoles from newbie retailers who don't even know that there are bannz0red consoles.

Eu acho que a microsoft procede bastante mal em aplicar esta segurança a nivel do Xbox Live,havia várias maneiras para acabar com parte da pirataria,bastava os jogos serem mais baratos e que a consola não os risca-se. Eu por exemplo fui banido como muita gente foi com certeza e até ai tudo bem ,mas a microsoft têm que ter em conta que todos nós pagavamos uma assinatura de 1, 3, 12 meses, alem disso havia quem compra-se conteúdo no marketplace não falando na subscrição XNA Club Creator 49.90€ como eu pagava, sempre houve pirataria e há-de continuar isto é só um pequena pausa a nivel do xbox live viste que muita gente descobrirá a solução para continuar a jogar backups online, hoje estamos banidos amanha quem sabe, voçês basiaram-se nos ID dos Jogos por isso muita gente foi banida sem ter a consola com Chip ou Firmware, cada jogo têm um ID e claros se existe cópias existem vários jogos com o mesmo ID dai muitos clientes que por acaso emprestaram o seu jogo ao amigo o amigo por acaso fez uma copia e joga online e foi banido o amigo inocente com o seu jogo original foi banido por ai fora,gosto da xbox não minto claro mas jogos caros nem todos somos ricos.jogava cópias não minto mas tambem comprava como comprei 7 jogos mas por acaso 3 deles a minha consola arranhou-os perdi quase 180 € para que ?para o lixo claro.toda a gente têm direito de fazer 1 backup de segurança dos seus CD´s ou DVD eles são caros e não queremos estraga-los como foi o meu caso, sonda-se por ai que a solução vai sair dentro de dias para voltar a ligar-nos ao Xbox Live o que vai haver desta vez???muitos SN das consolas iguais?clones, vocês têm os melhores programadores eles ganham bem por isso e pensam assim tão pouco.espero que a xbox 360 tenha mais sorte daqui para a frente porque já não vejo jeitos.não me admirava que a solução para voltar-mos a ligar ao xbox live parti-se pela vossa parte ,visto que erros todos nós cometemos.agora milhares de clientes fora do live tambem não é nada bom para vocês.ninguem que jogava cópias o vai deixar de o fazer.sem mais comentários.
