Snake75 you're dead on with your comments. Very intelligent. My initial comment wasn't to start any sort of flame war. It merely was to ask why every post where some country is excluded has to contain a lot of complaints. Everyone who visits this site understand that not getting content at the same time as everyone else isn't fair. But it's not about fair or not fair. Like Snake75 said, there are many, many factors that need to be addressed. Complaining about it here on this site won't get it there any faster. Do you think Major Nelson is going to get the 300 movie out to Bulgaria quicker because there were 10 posts with people complaining about not having it? The answer is no. Believe me when I say that Microsoft would love to have the video marketplace available all over the world, but it's just a slow process that I'm sure they have top men working on. Top men.

So the hi-def version of 300 takes up just 5.3 GB?!? Remind me again of why we need 15/30 GB HD-DVDs and 25/50 GB Blu-ray discs when stuff like this fits on a 9 GB DVD? ;)

I have the HD DVD version and i'll never go back,lol.Those deciding to order 300 through XBL, be sure to get the 720P version if you own an HD DVD.300 in HiDef is an absolute must see.

If buying a HiDef disc version, buy the HD DVD version.Not only was it reviewed better, but it offers a bunch of extras features and net interactivity that the Blue Ray version can't/doesn't offer.

Had it on HD DVD since a week before it hit retail and i'd never go back.For those not owning an HD DVD player but have an HDTV, you absolutely MUST order 300 in 720P!

How about dropping the price of the 120gb to something approaching reasonable. I'd spend an awful lot more on the marketplace if I had more space.

until MS, us americans have had to put up with delayed content since the original nintendo! anyone else remeber waiting 6-8 months waiting on a game that had already come out in japan? it really didnt bother me that badly. i had more patience at eight than some of you.

quezcotl, i have always had to pay for xbox live so i dont really know what your talking about?! this is also a capitalist country not socialist russia. we dont throw money down the toilet for the common good, or, "so everyone can have some"(in most situations). we have something called a buisness model. i assure you MS is spending/doing everything they can to get you guys the content. do you guys actually think MS would not want to offer the whole world an intangible (meaning not a physical object) and charge for it? the overhead is purely in developement, and then distribution costs. theres no cost to produce (manufacturing), and most of the content is not worth A) the price: B) the need complain for not having what the big bad americans do. majors content disclaimer explains all of this! its mindblowing that you guys cant show some patience, especially when you have a very valid and easy to understand explanation of why. and angrybrit, voice away! nobody is stoping you from voicing your oppinion; even if it is not logical. the blog has been taken over by complainers, and whiners. thats why everyone is getting sick of it. trust me WE ALL GET IT, YOU ARE NOT CONTENT WITH WHAT YOU ARE PAYING FOR. heres an idea: dont pay for it until the marketplace is up to your standards. i know i wouldnt pay $1.00 for a single stick of gum when a whole pack has 5 pieces.

First experience with the HD-download-rental thing. Started the HD download at 4:55pm, was all done by 7pm when the wife and I sat down to watch it. Video quality was pretty darned good, with the exception of a few compression artifacts on particularly dark scenes. Didn't hitch or skip at all (I've had some HD trailers do this, so I was a little worried). Audio quality was good as well, and quite nice on the surround system. Like lots of recent movies, there's a VERY wide volume range between the whispered speech segments and the action scenes. Turning the volume up to hear the actors speak makes the battles quite loud - just a warning in case you have cranky neighbors ;P Overall experience was very good in terms of a rental. The price *could* come down a little, or the restrictions could be relaxed a bit (I'd love to have it tied to the HDD/Live account rather than HDD/360, to download at one location, then watch at another - like renting a movie and then watching it at a friend's house), but overall no outright complaints.

Video marketplace has got nothing to do with BT. That's IPTV.

Remember - IPTV is not MS's service (to the public, anyway). It'll be BT's service that uses a 360 as a set top box, ergo you're not a customer of iptv unless you want it from BT. No whining.

The XBLVM will launch in the UK soon (not sure about the rest of EU). The code's already in the dashboard and it's been announced to happen this year so whether it's timed with the elite or a year after the US got it we'll just have to wait and see.

please don't make Video Marketplace in the UK limited to BT Customers!

Something like 300 in HD is going to be a big selling point to people waiting over BluRay and HD-Dvd. Especially as we don't get the deals the US does on the HD-dvd drive
