Exactly where do you propose they add the buttons for left and right when using the wheel? Theres just not enough buttons, sad but true. Its also nothing to do with Microsoft, they did not write nor publish that game so they have no control over the button assignments.

You CAN however use a pad at the same time though, its very useful for navigating the map as it sucks using the wheel. Just remember you still have to use the wheel buttons for confirm etc. Best to use a wired pad though as the wireless one will drain the batteries and turn off after a while of inactivity which can get annoying turning it on every time you want to navigate the map, although that should not happen if using it to look left/right regularly enough. (I'm not 100% sure you CAN use it for look left/right but I think so)
