Is it just me, or did that not clear anything up? IW says you guys DID ban around 23 K people in regards to download glitchery. Or at least 1UP's source with IW says that.

Good job with this issue I've seen so many people offering to glitch the beta to people for MS Points is was nuts I've made sure to report the ones I saw to you guys and IW.

I think that the 24 hour ban should be in effect anything more is pretty lame. Im sure there will be a slight drop in preorders due to people canceling for COD4 because people cant play the game online because of being banned. They were quick to jump on the halo 3 glitchers but are taking there time with the COD4 glitchers to me it makes no sense. Also Scar didnt get banned for glitching H3 he apparently stole information or something from a Bungie employee.

Well thankfully I never had anything like this happen to me, but Microsoft should have a 3 strike policy and have certian accounts monitored after something like this happens. It's different if you play with a modded system!! Then your REALLY stupid and should be ban from having a LIVE account but for using someone's code for a Beta that the company WANTS people to play is ridiculous. Wouldn't you be thrilled if you receieved a ton of feedback from the people who intend to buy you game? BTW, I was one of the lucky people who got the code via e-mail!! The game ROCKS!!!!!

I never said there were NO bans. I said we did not ban 10's of thousands. Listen to my show this week for more commentary on that issue. I don’t work in the PR or Marketing team…I work on the product team…so I don’t have the same rules as others. As far as responding to comments...I can't respond to every one..but I do respond when I see common themes.

I believe a number of things here, what you believe is up to you. 1)The Major & blog is p.r, been reading this blog for about a year odd and it is kinda obvious. 2)I believe there were bans regardless of what the major said about this. 3)I do not believe the Major deserves all this flack he does get. 4)But i also do believe the Major makes this worse due to not replying from time to time (people hate it when it seems like they are being ignored, even if they are lol). 5)It is only a game and not even a full game, over reaction much?

I don't really understand why people are so upset about the fact that people were or were not banned.

All those that did get "banned" broke the Terms of Service agreement and got caught. When you break rule and get caught you get punished and that's not just an Xbox or MS rule that's a society rule. That means you all should know these rules by now.

If you want to break them you have every right but if you get caught you have every right to recieve the punishment.

I think all the crybabies need to step away from their consoles and take some time to grow up.

For all those whining that they deserve something based on the fact that they pay for XBL, stop paying for it. All the useless whining in the world isn't a solution, vote with your wallet. Fact is right now you are a minority opinion and there is no reason to change or even listen.

I probably would've tried this with a good friend since the game's so awesome and he's into FPS's like I am..

thanks for letting us know though...I won't ever do it now..didn't think you could get banned for it but it makes perfect sense why it's against the rules.

This is the dumbest thing i've read in all gaming history... Major.. We "the customers" payed for live out of our pockets. I believe its fair to say that we should have gotten some kind of demo or for even having a gold account to have clear access to this beta... its rediculous every month you guys get lower and lower and yet even lower. banning people for overdoing messages. Banning people for being a clan which no one knew it was a cheating clan if any existed... Banning people for modding i clearly understand. But collecting data and waiting for the right moment to ban everyone is completely unacceptible... I have never seen anything so shameful. Give me one good reason why i shouldnt cancel my subscription to your "special service" 1 good reason Nelson... So far i havent gotten anything Inspiring to continue to let me play in your tirantful kingdom which you call xbox live. I dont know if you got noticed but gamerscore is old news.. I admit the services features are instantly fantastic but as far as appreciating customers go i dont think so. Why should someone have to worry everytime they turn on there xbox 360 of two fatal things A- Red Ring of Death B- A Full Console ban for absolutely no reason, I can go on an on. But i clearly know if you were to ever read this you would take it the wrong way and attempt todo something about it in a negative matter. Wake up please.. and yet you wonder why the wii is beating your console.
