xboxsupporter: the news shouldn't do anything you describe. The news reporter perceived the two conferences differently from you.

You might not agree with their conclusion (neither do I), but that's how it is.

So yesterday was one of the best days of the year, not only did I get to see Halo 3 but I did it at the media briefing. I got a call just as I left Nintendo to head to the MS event and got taken straight in and to the 3rd row when I got there. I was so close i could of punched Peter. Major I will say hi on the blogger bus, where were you at the party though ? It was sweet

it might just be something wrong with my computer, but for some reason when i go into itunes and press "update", for the podcasts, it doesnt update...wtf? help me. i really want to listen to the 2 new podcasts.

For an hour or two, I forgot I can't stand Peter Moore. He came off a lot better than Kaz and the J Allard clone from Sony. Reggie just seemed like a zombie, staring into the hard camera and delivering his lines like he was trying to be "tough" but sounding like he was reading off a script.

The "oh, it's going to be a Halo 3 tattoo...WAIT, GTA4?!?!" swerve was the highlight of E3 so far.

Halo 3 trailer looked outstanding.

Some people have already made this comparison, but Solid Snake shooting himself at the end of the MGS4 trailer suddenly seems a lot more appropriate as far as Sony is concerned.

Tanner, the HD-DVD will also act as a 2-port Hub, so you will actually get MORE ports available to you after plugging the HD-DVD in.

@ Tanner and others who want a USB hub:

Engadget got in the HD-DVD party and has the specs.

If you're link shy, it says that the drive has a USB connecter that will attach to the 360, and has two ports itself that other things can attach to.

Major, you guys are awesome. I am sure we all apprciate all the stuff you guys are giving us, and to the people complaing about the Marketplace, just remember that there are about 1.5 million users trying to access the same server, plus there are all the users that have a Silver account as well. It's really funny though, because it looks like you guys have already won E3 before it even starts, lol. Again Major, thanks for all the great content!!

any usb2.0 hub will work,... i'm using one now with a play&charge, usb keyboard,.. and just using one to power a custom blue led lit professor frink from the simpsons that accompanies my 360

Well after watching the conference via people who were live blogging.. I say MS had a pretty good conference, nice surprises, good show of games. Much much better than Sony's.

But I'll be honest when I say... Nintendo's conference got my blood pumping with excitement! ;)

Anyway on one last note.

-50 points from MS cause Peter Moore made me think GTA4 was exclusive to the 360. That was the one announcement that made me jump when I saw it. (I had to sleep after that announcement, so I didn't catch the news that it wasn't exclusive until this morning)

+50 points because.. well GTA4 ISN'T exclusive to the PS3 so definetly some form of agreement was reached with Take 2/Rockstar

-25 points because of the GTA4 tatoo Peter Moore had, its nice that the 360 get's GTA4 on launch day. So I get that he's excited about it.. but it's not an exclusive so it doesn't justify the tatoo.

Major, please forward this to the Xbox accessory people....Does Microsoft plan on making some sort of a USB hub? Most of their "must-have" accessories (The Vision Cam, The HDDVD Drive, and the wireless adapter) call for usb ports, and to be honest plugging those babies in the front of the console just doesn't look right. And since there's only one in the back, it would be a great idea to produce some sort of usb hub or something : D

Yes, congrats to all the Xbox Team for winning E3 this year hands down!!! And it was nice to see Bill give some much needed credit to the Major!! I was blown away by the whole presentation and how many bombs got dropped!! 360+Vista+Mobile integration, the Web Cam and then of course Halo 3 which was the final nail in the coffin for the competition. The only thing I would of liked to hear more of was what kinda of dashboard updates we will be seeing. But I also understand that the E3 presentation was probably not the appropriate time to go into such specifics. Bringing all the gaming platforms currently offered by MS into one community is brilliant! The competition has some real catching up to do!

The press here in Canada is blown by the xbox 360 conference. They were bad mouthing ps3 before the microsoft conference imagine what their going to say tommorow. Hopefully live gets more servers and google type bandwidth and we are safe.
