re: Demo: Burnout Paradise

"I've owned every Burnout game since the first one, and I can easily say that this is the worst Burnout yet. Ever since EA took over and added their 'cool' presentation, it's gone further away from what made it great in the first place. Even the last game - Burnout Revenge - omitted what I would call a pretty standard feature... single race. Why, when I wanted to race on a particular track, did I have to negotiate that god-awful career map? Open ended city? No thanks. Licensed music? Rubbish. Burnout 2 will always remain the pinnacle of the series for me, and EA won't be getting my money this time."

Burnout 2 was the best of the series for crash mode. Crash mode was phenominal. Most people don't understand the traffic patterns could be changed by driving in reverse from the start - or waiting for a certain time before racing down to the impact site. Who cares? the different between an air launching pickup and a moving van could be in the 100 million point range. fantastic stuff.

Burnout 3 nailed the blazing twitch racing.

re: Demo: Burnout Paradise

Many of the responses to this are amusing to say the least.

Related to the demo, although I have been busy over the past few days, I still haven't tried it again to see if my opinion has changed. All my enthusiasm was deflated after playing the demo the first time. Unfortunately, it looks like the Burnout series is going too far from it's roots in this one and it might just be a series killer ... like the last SSX game. The SSX series, from the first to Tricky to 3, were some of the best games I have played on a system and had fun with. The last one they put out was too far out there and lost me as a fan. This Burnout might do the same.

As far as the SILVER members upset over the delay and the ones that feel they should get it right away without having to pay because they do not believe in the capitalism of Microsoft, you all need to wake up and smell the world. First off, quit being cheap. It is $50 for 12 months. It isn't like it is $500. Secondly, if you choose to not pay for it, do not complain when you do not get the benifits from it. Running the service costs money, and you all (Silvers) should be thankful you do get some features. YOU ALL are clogging up some of the servers without paying to download things, so it is only fair that GOLD members get things first since we pay to play and support the service.

I still do not understand the PS3 fans on a blogsite for Xbox360. That is like sitting in MacDonalds and complaining about their food when you prefer Burger King instead.

Think people.

All i can say is this game is AWESOME.

It takes a little to get used too but is insanely fun in MP.At first i thought,oh a NFS clone. This game is way more than that in many ways.

Can't wait to buy the full game in Jan.

Can you seriously not wait seven days to play a one level DEMO? Maybe it's time for a new hobby.
