The competitors numbers are either staying fairly steady or increasing. Could this be the beginning of the Xbox360 being pushed to the back of the line? Maybe...maybe not. MS needs to get some of it's $_t straight and start addressing issues that have been around since launch. They also need to find a way to (a) bring value to the Gold XBL subscription or (b) lower the price of the Gold XBL subscription. There are tons of things that MS could do. The games argument is beginning to fade as the other systems are starting to get their high profile games. 2008 will be an interesting year.

Of that massive number of consoles sold, how many had to be repaired or replaced? I took pristine care of my xbox and it still RROD on me on Christmas Day! Fortunately, I still had the warranty at Best Buy and they swapped it out. But, in that same day, that same best buy swapped out over 80 xbox's that mysteriously tanked for no reason. Is there some kind of internal countdown on the xbox that causes it to just stop working after it reaches zero? In the 2 years I had my original xbox, I never once had a problem with it, then one day after watching a movie on it, I turn the system off like normal, later fire it up to play a game and its become a $400 brick.

I am truly glad that Xbox is doing as well as it is, but its disturbing. If xbox has made so much money off games and consoles, then why can't they keep xbox.com working and xbox live from going down every time there is in an influx in gamers?

I think you could say the multiplayer has failed massively seeing as there havent been more than 200k users since the launch. The highest number I saw was 970k and it came down like a stone after that.

Cant blame them, my Halo3 hasnt been in the tray since we finished the campaign on co-op. The MP is an ancient quake-bazooka fest and all the ranked achievements center around maintaining the smallest possible game in the most ancient quake map and setting. Had the achievements been in vehicle-heavy big team battle I'd remotely be interested.

Here's waiting for that actual, full-fledged Battlefield game to arrive to a console near you.
