Has some pretty kool scripted moments especially in the beginning, but the combat and visuals are a bit lacking. I'll still give it a Gamefly rental for sure though.

The switching from first- to third-person is not smooth at all. It came across as the last PS2 game. If you already know what the rating is, just show off its rating. Don't say it's RP! I mean seriously, you know what it's rated! Just because it's not out yet doesn't mean older people can play it only. If I can buy Call of Duty 4 at Target with no ID being asked of me, even though I'm 16, and if I can rent movies like War, Shooter, and The Kingdom (all of which are R rated), then I can download a Teen rated demo! Honestly, no offense to Microsoft to creating such an awesome online service, but WHAT THE F***?!?!?!

re: Demo: Turning Point: Fall of Liberty

This demo really sucked, for second I thought I was playing my N64.

Horrible gameplay, horrible shooting, horrible graphics, horrible continuity in the era (such as the guy being dressed like a 1998 skater) and how likely is it that a building worker or whoever you are, can take out a German commando paratrooper with one button.

Awful, and those who said the club was bad, it freaking owned. Its just the stupid game modes that lacked in any enjoyment.

I really do. The premise is way overdue for a video game. America is the one being invaded (for a change) and you play a Joe Everyman who picks up a gun and joins the fight. This game has potential written all over it.

Now... am I the only one who has a serious issue with lag on the controls? All turning occurs roughly 1/4 second after I move the sticks. I play plenty other shooters on my TV so I know it's not TV lag. This is a MUST FIX if the final product is going to be any good. It would be a shame to see poor programming bury a potential million seller.

Here are a few other suggestions:

- Why so many "interact" buttons? One button for climbing ladders, one button for grappling, another for pushing buttons and opening doors. "A" grabs, "B" releases... HUH??? Why not consolidate all these into a single Action button? Did anyone focus test this control scheme?
- A cover system would GREATLY improve the combat mechanics. Sure this isn't trivial, but the value added would be well worth the time spent implementing new animations, aiming mechanics, AI reactions, camera behavior, etc.
- Add more ambient sound... people confused, yelling, crying. The "greatest city in the world" is under attack for Pete's sake. I want to feel like the #%^! has really hit the fan and my whole reality has been turned upside down. See Cloverfield for reference.
- Why do I have to shoot a nazi twice with a rifle to hurt him? He barely flinches the first time. Maybe they really WERE that tough... I'll ask my grandpa.

re: Demo: Turning Point: Fall of Liberty

Wow. The demo sucked gameplay wise. The only good thing is the scenery, explosions, etc. (environment, you might say). lulz the best part is America would barely exist this far in. WWII was the only thing that saved us from the depression, so there really wouldn't be any construction going on at that time.

re: Demo: Turning Point: Fall of Liberty

Wow... If your going to make a shooter FPS its got to have good controls. Also the shooting model is just terrible .... no wait I'm being to nice... its HORRID. Put this back on the burner for another 6 months and FIX the Shooting model (Bullet impacts, Bullet targeting, Enemy movement, AI, Enemy animation) and Make the Controls LIKE other FPS games....DEVS your not doing anything differently than anyone else to make them so different.
