LOL @ the kid that said COD4 was "realistic". That's got to be one of the funniest things I've seen posted on this board. COD4 is as stylized as Halo 3 is; it's just a different style. As soon as COD4 has you measuring windspeed, barometer, and having to dial in a scope while sniping...it will be realistic. Until that point, don't kid yourself because anytime you make that ridiculous claim people who know anything about firearms are going to laugh at you. Like I just did. At least Halo specifically lets the user know that this is basically "science fiction". COD4 just hopes you're a retard and don't know better. Second, I love how everyone says that H3 is a just Halo 2.5. Well, I suppose that makes COD4 less than COD 1, 2, or 3, since all three of those games had the option for split-screen XBL multiplayer. How does IW's COD2 have split-screen multiplayer but COD4 doesn't? Oh, that's right, it's a step backwards. How does the terrible Treyarch COD3 have the option but COD4 doesn't? Oh that's right, COD4 is a step backwards. COD4 might have better graphics but at least I can play Halo 3 with my brother/cousin/girlfriend. Third, COD4 is something "new"? The only thing new about COD4 is a change in venue, and that certainly isn't new to the FPS world. Holy crap...there is a war in the Middle East? We're going to send some British and American soldiers to fix it???? How completely original and innovative!! I don't think I've ever heard of or played a game anything like that. [/sardonic] The perk system in COD4 is a joke. The fact that it rewards decent players with the ability to kill people quicker (via radar, airstrikes, helis) is a joke. That's like me getting a running riot in H3 and now my AR shoots Gauss Hog rounds. Pathetic. HCE had a better idea...if you get more kills in a row...you should move *slower*. That's balancing. Not this COD4 crap where I spawn kill 3 people to get radar, then easily spawn kill 2 more for the airstrike which I use to spawn kill 2 more to call the heli. Lather rinse repeat until match is over. I loved playing COD4 because it made all the flaws in H3 seem far less important. Spawn system in H3 needs work...but it's not nearly as bad as COD4s. Hit detection in H3 needs work...but it's not nearly as bad as COD4s. Maps need work in H3...but they aren't nearly as bad as COD4s. When R6V2 comes out, it will be interesting to see how many people are still playing COD4 since R6V2 has the same stylized FPS experience as COD4 does. I guess we'll have that discussion when it comes out. ~B.B.

Halo 3 used to be my #1 multiplayer game, but since i got CoD4, it kinda gets boring. The campaign needs to have huge battles, bigger framerate and more levels. If Halo 4 comes out (i dont know if there is), Halo will be ontop again, but what about CoD5??

Yeah Sep, you summed it up pretty well. Halo 3 is not much more than just more of the same, and the only reason it's still where it's at in the rankings is because of all the Halo fanboys that just can't let it go and like the same thing over and over and... ad nauseam. CoD4 is on top because it's something new and actually FUN and not just more of the same ol' same ol'.

COD4 is way better than H3. It's reality. I've popped both games in my console many times and I always end up taking out H3 after 2 or 3 games because COD4 is just way more fun.

I'm gonna go trade H3 in for credit or something, for when a game that is WORTH my money comes out. The only people keeping Halo 3 in the second spot are die-hard Halo 1/2 fans that hate to admit Halo 3 is really just nothing new or exciting at all, it's H2.5.

some very good points you bring up there. and i'm a CoD4 fan. I really enjoy it. But you nailed it with your description of how it goes. I seem to get that same thing. I would consider myself above average when it comes to player skill. nothing super flash but a pretty decent player i believe. But sometimes.. i just get smashed! i put it down to just off days and the realism of the game. i.e. in reality, life can be over just as easily and just as surprisingly.

I still do like CoD4 thought. And i must admit.. it could have been SOOO much more if they gave us some actual HD Generation Fetaures like i have heard halo 3 has (screenshots, recording matches, thorough co-op mode, OMG I WISHED IT HAD THESE SO MUCH!)

Burnout is for the kids who can't handle the realism of Forza....and people who's only desire in a driving game is to wreck others. Which, in my opinion, makes it a "gimmick game" at best. Learn to drive so you can enjoy Forza. :)

hey Major, is there a way you can make a list of overall games, just every game not originl XBOX an then 360, id like to see how Halo 2 is shaping up against the new gen games cause i know it was number 1 till Gears took the top spot. idk, could it hurt just adding another top 10 overall?
