(If it isn't listed as free, look for the right one.) Under the GAMES BLADE (y'know, the green one) there's the usual All Games, Arcade, Demos and a new one - XNA Creators Club. Go there. Hit the yellow 'Y' button as indicated to see what games you can download. These are basically BETA TEST DEMOS. Like all demos, they are free, but not the complete game. You CAN NOT rate them. That's for students and members who've joined the full XNA program. Sometime in the future, these will come to the Xbox Live Marketplace. The point of all of this let us, the public, see the same tech demos that developers are seeing at the Game Developers conference. Demonstrations of games that students and small indie game makers did using the FREE XNA tools program. **I think that was pretty cool of Microsoft to share with us** Sidenote: Jelly Car is pure joy.

re: XNA Creators Club Game Launcher (free)

So is this ever going to come to Australia?

re: XNA Creators Club Game Launcher (free)

I'm going to check some of them out, but I hope that XNA on the 360 gets into full gear this year. It's been way to slow.

One is the standard XNA launcher, it is about 9 Megs. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS ONE. It will not run any of the trial games, and will dump you to dashboard without letting do anything in the XNA menu.

The other is the XNA Launcher GDC Trial. THAT IS THE ONE you want. It is about 7 Megs. This is the one you need to download in order to download the games.

They are ALL 17 day trial versions. The only one with "achievement" I saw was Dishwasher. All others are just simple games (for the achivo whores). But in Dishwasher, the "achievement" option is grayed out.

Once you download the 7 meg launcher, you can download the others. The 7 meg launcher is the only way to get these games to boot.

Of the seven, Dishwasher was the most polished. While I am not big on the game's description (not after last week), the game is very well done. I just got over my "Johnny The Homicidal Mainiac" phase years ago...

I liked Proximity HD a lot. But I also like Dice Wars on Wiicade.

TriLinea was different, but good different. But TriLinea crashed twice for me (locked up the 360). All other titles booted fine.

I actually hated Jellycar because I could not control it for squat, but I can see it's appeal. Physics fun there.

Culture was cool, but the weed game is a little buggy. I showered my planet with flowers and I couldn't kill some of the weeds no matter what I did.

Rocket Ball has potential, but has the same issues we saw in Monster Madness' gameplay. The player movement was jerky and very twitchy.

Little Gamers was meh. To me, it was the most forgettable one, and it borrows heavily from Alien Homminid.

Like I told someone today, it is good stuff, but I can't really put in another $50 USD for this, especially since there is no retail version. I already don't like DRM as is, so a game subscriber account doesn't thrill me at all.

XBox 360 - Fix the business model somewhat, and this can work.
