Major,

Can you comment on the problems with Bully post-patch? It seems like this game and then the patch slipped through MS Certification with tons of game-breaking problems. How does this happen?

It seems like it's proving harder to get into the Battlefield beta than the Halo 3 or COD 4 betas. I'm a long time IGNer but didn't get in, and it looks like there is only one more opportunity for tokens. O well, I guess I'll have to settle for just reading more about it and waiting till the release date.

EA is messing it up. If you didn't get the beta....i think u'd be glad after reading this. I've been an IGN insider for a long time so I didn't realize others had to PAY to get the beta. If I understand correctly, it should be the other way round where WE get paid for testing their product. Now if thats not bad enough, big kick-ass guns are only available on the beta if you purchase them from XBL marketplace. So if you can't afford it, you'll be owned every time because someone paid to get a better gun.

WHAT THE #@&$ IS THAT ABOUT?? Isn't it bad enough that people have to PAY to get the beta that they want people to PAY to get the weapons as well??? And this is just a BETA...so when the real game comes out you'd have wasted your MS points on these guns that would be included in the final game. Where is the logic behind this????

I've got to say, this week's updates from e have been great; better in form and content than Major's. No offense intended; Major just provides too much detail I don't need, and too little personality... his stuff reads like a press release. Many thanks to e for keeping us in the loop while Major's been away!

Hello E I was just wondering if you could ask Major Nelson if Xbox 360 owners will get a chance to Beta test command and conquer red alert 3 if its coming to the xbox 360, I have no idea if it is or not, just some people who buy the newest Kanes Wraith expansion pack on PC said some copys come with a code? depending on where you buy it...

(the game wont be out on beta for months according to said people)

I hope xbox live has the beta demo of the game

I can't believe that you are actually promoting the Battlefield: Bad Company BETA on IGN where they are actually charging you for the privilege of testing a game instead of giving it for free like everyone else. Most game development companies pay the BETA testers, not the other way around, so I think this is a bit out of line. Further to that, EA are actually charging you to play an even match by having some weapons only available if you buy them through the marketplace which will make it even more unbalanced.

I can't believe that you are letting EA get away with this and won't be buying the game when it comes out. Actually, I can believe this, Microsoft are probably getting a briefcase full of cash from both IGN and EA for forcing people into paying extra.

You can just reserve a copy of the game, get your beta key, and then cancel your reservation... What IGN has done is very crappy.

So is reserving a copy at gamestop the only way to get into the beta? I think it should be available to more than just the people already set on buying the game. Why not get some more exposure with people who don't know much about it, get a few more customers?
