Anyone know if the maps will be free soon? They aren't listed anymore as variety pack levels so do I have to buy them or will they be free?

I dont mind paying for the maps, but it does seem that odd those of us that have been playing since this game launched have to pay for new maps, but the 'Game of the year' version gets them FREE and for the same price I paid for my copy of the game. After all, It was us that made COD4 game of the year in the first place!

i thought we mite get a break for the most disapponiting part of any video game in history PROTEIGSE!!!!!!!!!!! The maps should have been free

but for the people that play games and not make them the game is still bad ass

Microsoft don't do anything unless there profit in it. Someones got to pay for the Vista fiasco so it may as well be the XBOX division and its userbase :)

We shouldn't have to pay to play online fullstop unless its some form of MMO. You buy a game and take it home to be told you can only play half of it as the other half needs a sub....? scandalous :)

I feel either of these strategies should be adopted:

A) Pay a slightly higher annual fee for Live service and have everything free in the marketplace. Companies like Infinity Ward already are swimming in the profits they made selling this game. In-game content should be free and a way of saying "Thank you for supporting the game and making us rich. Enjoy these free maps."

B) Don't pay for a Live service but pay for marketplace content and Microsoft can pocket the revenue from the content paid. SO either way Microsoft gets paid, and we save money. Win-win for both. Companies make their money from physical sales of their games.

As far as I know playstation follows plan B. I wish Microsoft would do either A or B.

And we already paid them $60. The people buying the new version get them free. If anything, $10 for 4 maps that most people won't buy so they have to be played in a seperate lobby is asinine to me. If they were only $5 I think twice as many people would actually purchase them.

I personally think the Marketplace is nothing more than a means for companies to rip their loyal consumers off (especially EA) and make more money, which was the reason Sony and MS justified the $60 games. I won't buy a picture or theme and I will not pay $10 for a game I payed $20 15 years ago.

Is killhouse not available for team deathmatch? I think that is extremely lame if it isn't. I've yet to play it, and it looked like the best one.

Killzone also appears under Team Tactical, was the first map to come up when I played the other day...very fun map too!
