ever since the update ive gotten a "disc unreadable" msg when i try to play COD4 MP any fix?

Since my update here in the UK all that I get is the console freezing - any ideas why?

Updated my console, no dramas. Console is from initial release (2nd console, first one lasted a week), has been repaired once about 6 months ago for 3 red's. Since the update though I've noticed big lag on LIVE playing COD4, plus the game itself seems to take longer to load. Had one instance the other night where I put the game disc in and got the message saying to put it in the console, only saw this once before when I tried a game disc in the HD DVD drive to see what it would do. Not concerned about the next big update if it's for GTAIV, not that interested in the game.

Hey, just wanted to confirm... i was afraid to do the update yesterday... finally did it, since IT IS mandatory. Nothing happened, rebooted just fine... maybe the people with problems, have their xbox hacked, or something like that... and it is a security code somewhere in there... well, just to confirmed, everything works fine. They just have to speed up the LIVE connection.

I appear to be having issues ever since the update. It tells me I am signed into live, but the Marketplace blade just shows me the 'Connect to Xbox LIVE' as does the 'Xbox Live' screen

Great, kids wanted to play Viva Pinata but there's a system update. So I let it download and install, reboot, everything's fine. Start the game, it freezes, and now I have a nice red circle on the power button and a totally dead 360. Thank you very very much for that. So now what do I do?

Yeah my launch year 360 is getting game lag after the update.And a few random freezes.

Hope it's nothing more than a dirty disk.....sure it's gonna be fine....eh

Same for me started the console and it connects whilst on the xbox live dashboard blade does the usual says friends online blah blah. However still offers me the option to connect, i press the middle button and i am not connected, try to play a match on cod4, "please sign in...etc". Beeen workin fine up until this upgrade:S:S

Could this update be the reason I can't sign into anything Windows Live related (including Xbox.com) and can't see your gamertag?

Ok, so now XBL is down for "maintenance".

When it comes back up, will I have to download yet another console-rebooting or game-ending patch for it when I get online? I'd really like to know because I'm finally back up to Day 5 in Infinite Mode, and am not looking forward to being force-fed another reboot.
