More demos are needed for the UK! We brits spend a lot on games... today i spent £150 on games and a vision camera... have 25 games and i have had my xbox since christmas...

Come on Major help us out =] Mor demos for the Brits means we pla more and want to buy more!

The demo is a bit rough around the edges (especially the camera) but the core turn-based gameplay is rock solid. If you like turn-based games its wrth checking out.

This game is terrible. I love a good SRPG (Disgaea 1 being my favorite), but I've never seen such a bad camera, poorly thought out mechanics, and stupid concepts. Someone euthanize Fatlus.

This game is amazing! Seriously, played through the demo three times yesterday and had a blast! Everybody is so involved in graphics, story, and production value and they can't even get on the bandwagon for when a decent game comes out that is just fun to play. I know this isn't a Shin Megami Tensei game or anything but it's a good step in the right direction if we want to see more Atlus games on the 360. The camp value alone makes this game worth a try.

This game is not terrible. The graphics are, and the camera has issues, but I can tell there is potential here. I'll still wait for the reviews to see how the full version stacks up to the demo. And I hope they let you save mid-mission in the full version.

For you that don't know Anon 31 is talking about Final Fantasy Tactics which was on the GBA, so being 2d sprites seems pretty standard on that platform. It looked good on that platform. Second Persona and the rest looked good. They had a really stylized anime look (like ogre battle). They didn't look terrible. Sorry that I'm old school enough to remember when this company wasn't making a mad grab for money and if graphics don't matter for a given genre then they should stick to board games and other mediums that don't have "graphics". It just so happens that the Xbox 360 is a video game console where graphics matter.

But Final Fantasy Tactics (the game that came from the same company as Ogre Battle) could be argued as having downgraded graphics (they were 2D-ish sprites in a 3D world). Hell, Disgaea's graphics, while good look "terrible" on the PS3 now compared to games out there.

SRPGs aren't known for good graphics, why this one magically has to have one is beyond me.

lol Persona, yes a PSX game that looked terrible until Persona 2: Innocent Sin. 3 looks okay, but you have to remember it's a late PS2 game. 4's graphic upgrades aren't going to be huge either since it's sticking to the PS2 (gee, I wonder why?).

Of course, this is apples and oranges. Since graphics don't matter in an SRPG, nor is Op Darkness' graphics terrible when you compare them to most SRPGs. Are they bad compared to Call of Duty 4/Halo 3/numerous FPS'ers out there on the 360? Yes. But it's not as bad as a PSX/early PS2 game.

lol @ you bringing your "Atlus" experience into the argument as well. No one cares if you've played Ogre Battle/Persona. Considering they really don't have anything to do with Op Darkness, minus Ogre Battle being an SRPG with Op Darkness.

I guess it's true, 360 owners won't really try anything other than SHOOTAN GAEMZ. It's sad, but I guess this is why RPGs will be coming out on the PS3 in a flood after a while. Hell, if the PS3 doesn't get on its legs, they'll probably go to the waggle machine.

Damn, glad to see Atlus on the ball here.

And I was waiting for this one to come to the U.S.--if you like strategy games in the vein of Tactics Ogre, Front Mission, etc., then this is for you. :)

jwilliamsoh, my thoughts precisely. Please somebody tell me my calendar is wrong and it's April fools day again. When I first saw a trailer for this game I figured it would be a Japan only release, as the market has been so oversaturated with WW2 games, and this kind of turn based RPG typically does better there anyway. But I guess I was wrong. I'm sorry, but this game looks like a terrible mistake. It's like they took Wolfenstein and mixed it with final fantasy and expect it to have the success of both of those franchises. Good luck with that. I've downloaded just about every single demo and arcade title that's come out, because I figure why not, it's free, and I'll give it a spin. This is a waste of time and bandwidth.

This game however.... Ummm.

Well you know. I will just stick with saying nothing at all.

just get a new silver acct for the US and stop complaining cuz for the 1st month its upgraded to GOLD. I have a paid for acct in North America but if i need to i get a new acct for the other regions. so stop bitching and do it.
