We are complaining about not being able download any content for Gears of War... INCLUDING MAP PACKS!! wouldnt you be pissed?

My friend, the region blocking is made through our IPs. I doesn't matter if you're using a fake USA account or not...

Hey... for all you guys pissed off because u cant download the trailer with the regional block, this is not a new thing. I've been fighting with this since Gears of War 1. I live in Dominican Republic and couldnt download any map pack. Thanks to Germany's and other 2 countries restrictions, we all have to pay for them. We being most of latin America, a lot of countries in asia and europe. (NON-LIVE REGIONS).

For all you guys on Brazil, Mexico, Australia and Colombia... dont worry, they will fix this for you. But all the other countries in wich Xbox Live hasnt officially launched... we are pretty much screwed. This is because of the Geniuses on MS, instead of only blocking Germany and the other couple of countries with restrictions, they dont want the work and trouble and they just handle it by restricting everybody outside Xbox Live regions. And we, who buy the game, the gold memberships, the microsoft points to buy the downloadable content cant do anything about, and cant get the map packs when they come out. And for the guy who just wrote above... changing ZIP and location to USA wont work. They block the IP's.

Once i emailed Larry (Major Nelson) about this, and he told me this are the game publisher policies.

When GoW2 was announced, i wrote to the VP of Epic Studios, Mark Rein, about my fear of going through the same frustrations with DLC on GoW2 as on Gow1. He kindly wrote back to me, and said that Epic is aware of the problem, that this decision is made by MICROSOFT GAMING STUDIOS. And that by the way "WE THINK IS PRETTY DUMB TOO" (those were his words.)

I dont know what else to do, because i love this game. But i dont want to buy it just to be angry when ppl have the new maps and i start getting disconnected from games for not being able to have them.

The Non-Live Regions have no one to defend them. Because Xbox Live isnt officially on our location, they arent obligated to give us support. But of course they dont think of this when they sell us their consoles, their games their points. They let us sign on using a fake US address (because they dont mind the $60 a year/person on non-live regions), but then they just restrict us.

I dont know what else to do... Major Nelson, doesnt write me back anymore. Ive been on a lot of forums about this issue, we've even started signings. But they just wont hear us. They preffer to be lazy, and dont fix the problem.

Keep writing about this to see if we get someone's attention.

You folks can go back and forth with your GoW2 rules comments and your cute little nicknames for GoW that you made up because you hate it all you want. If GoW2 lacks a playable Cole Train in Co-Op, if it lacks Cole Train PERIOD, then Epic can shove GoW2 up their rank, hairy tuckus.

Unless there is an official confirmation for Mass Effect 2 releasing late this year, I highly doubt it has a chance to see the holidays by this year's end.
