The evolved version isn't half bad but the retro version has horrible controls. I loved Warlords on the 2600 when I was a kid but the analog stick is a poor, poor substitute for a paddle. I'd recommend playing the demo first.

Hey Major, why don't you get someone to help speed the X-Arcade Tankstick to the 360? It's available for every system EXCEPT the 360. It might do a lot to drive sales of the retro ports.

I'm not a fan of the 2 player achievements though, not everyone has a RL friend.....com'on.

I was a big fan of the Atari 2600 version and, although this is based on the arcade version, it plays reasonably well. I'm a bit disappointed by how laggy the game feels with multiplayer, but single-player Evolved is quite fun, especially for $5. Achievements are going to be very hard, though.

Lot of people complain about the classic games, but this is a good one. And the price is right on target.

One of the rare games that are worth their price tag. Warlords is easily worth the $5 bucks.

Im actually quite pleased with this release because Warlords is a great gaming franchise...but I won't be downloading warlords 1. If they ever get around to putting Warlords 3 Darklords Rising up on XBLA (especially now they've introduced the 350meg limit) Ill be STRAIGHT there to download it!

I can't see it happening though cos Warlords 3 might be a bit too beastly a game to put on XBLA!

i LOVED warlords as a kid. i have been waiting for this release since it was announced waaaay back. delist all you want, once i purchase i have forever. i only hope the precision with a controller is top notch compared to the twist knob controller i had for my atari.

you know this game is 100% going to be de-listed.xbl being a paid service i expect it to be better than psn and wii online offerings but online doesn't only mean online play its also mean accessibility and features and presentability. sadly even though 360 is a hd console its UI does look hd at all. even wii's UI looks better. and the xblm is a clustered mess. this might sound like trolling but being a paying customer thats my right.

Anon 15, you do realize this IS a coin-op right? It's a remake of the arcade version of Warlords not the Atari version.

I'm rather enjoying Warlords, it controls better than most of the other Atari titles like Missle Command and Asteroids.

Also Major, I think you should turn off Anon comments again, too many idiot kids posting here. Yes I realize that means I'll have to take the time to log in to post but it's worth it.

It's not much of a release, but I definitely don't believe that Warlords will be hitting the delisting section at all, not for only 500pts. Now Sudoku on the other hand...

I just downloaded the trial and might buy. I remember Warlords from the Atari 2600. Great times, great times.
