i think ms invested in the wrong game. ng2 is not the kind of game that will sell millions. it most likely sell around 500k. and team ninja seems to have taken a very lazy route with regards to the games visuals. it is very disappointing when devs bs about the games visual before the release. same thing happened with halo3 beta whatever.

Trust me, I know exactly what your talking about. Im on my 5th console (I ended up buying an Elite, works good so far). Even after all the crap they have put me threw, it was all for the same reason. RROD...something they have known about since day 1. Yes, they have crap for customer service...but don't make it seem like they arn't doing anything to fix it. Like I said, they increased the warranty. Im truly upset because people choose to take it out on Major, who honestly has done nothing but keep us up to date. He has nothing to do with this demo, or 99% of the other crap people yell at him for. Thats called being a selfish little brat.

Legend of Myth, I agree agree with that it is silly that so many people on are complaining about the demo. However, you aren't seeing the bigger picture that is causing these complaints. For most of us this demo fiasco is just another in a long line of screw-ups by MS. I have been dealing with Microsoft's awful customer service, concerning various issues, for over a year.I've had to send in two consoles, the first one for RRoD and the other one for DRE. Both times took multiple calls to customer support to get my 360 fixed. It took eight separate repair orders just to get an empty box with a shipping label sent to me for my second repair, because their customer service is so inept. In addition to those issues I've also called multiple times regarding region lock issues that I should not be experiencing and to try to get my steering wheel retrofitted. I know my experience with Microsoft's customer service is indicative of many 360 owners. I just want a simple apology and explanation for their customer no-service for the multiple issues that I have had regarding the 360, however they are clearly unwilling to do so after many phone calls and a letter sent to their legal department.

I don't understand the people complaining about the ones complaining. I'm normaly not that kind of person, but in this case, there's a lot of reasons to do so:

-This is a highly anticipated game. Everyone's waiting for it since NGB came out and everyone wants to play it on day one or as soon as the demo is out. Well, Japan got it first even if...

-The demo is in english, which would have made it much easier to launch it worldwide.

-There was a announcement that promised a demo in May. We're June 2nd now, and there's still nothing up in Canada (and US). I don't know about you guys, but when I'm not 100% sure of something, I just keep my mouth shut.

-A pre-release demo can help the game's sale, especialy if you're not sure on which game you're putting your money for the month (not my case, but it's a problem some people will sure have). The reviews are good from what I saw so it isn't that bad, but it could've been worse if the reviews were soso.

Anyway, thank you Major for keeping th people informed of everything! It s*cks being the bad news messenger, that's for sure!

I saw this on gamefaqs and it works. You can dl the demo from here: www.iberiansngrealm.com/NinG2.7z All you do is burn the contents folder (the whole folder) in this dl to a dvdr after you unrar the file. I used nero and its "burn data disk" settings. Put the disc in the xbox, go to games library in the games blade, my games, go right to demos and it should be there. you then can play it.

I'll tell you why the demo is important to me at least. I've yet to play a Ninja Gaiden game with the 360 controller. I've played Sigma, and paying $15 for Black...well, why would I pay $15 for a game I already have? So, I want to get used to the controller. And since MGS4 is coming ou soon, the demo is going to tell me where down the line I'm going to pick this up price wise. Maybe a month at $50, or a year at $30. For me, it's just not Day 1.

I standby the premise that locking out demos by region and membership is really stupid. When demos go up, anyone should be able to download them. They're free. Why should I have to pay $50 a year for a demo a week early? It doesn't really make sense. Oh, and if you bring up the whole 'gold members should get extra stuff', yeah, I agree, but demo download right restrictions isn't one of them. Maybe 4-player chat and marketplace discounts should. But that's my theory.

Ai Kago...You have absolutely no clue what the Xbox LIVE team has to deal with every second of everyday. Yes, you pay for a service...to not say your not getting your $60 a years worth is absolute bull. I own all 3 consoles, and regardless of problems (they all have their own faults) I still play my 360 more than the other 2. Sony's online service sucks...its horrible and crappy compared to Microsofts. The amount of stuff MS does for us is unfathomable...but the moment they make a mistake, we all attack them as if they have been nothing but crap since the start. You may joke and say "but they have...RROD and DRM". Guess what? Thats old. They know they screwed up. They don't need people like you kicking them every day reminding them that. The good thing is how they have been handling it. They increased the warranty for the RROD to 3 years...let me tell you now, 99% of companies would NEVER do that. When a huge influx of new people joined last christmas and LIVE was screwed up for that month, they gave everyone a free arcade game because of it...did they have to? Hell no! They went above and beyond because they CARE. It doesn't state anywhere that LIVE will be up and running 100% everyday, and if it ever craps out, that they have to compensate you...but they did. Of course people still found things to complain about and you still all continue to bi*** everyday over the most trivial things. Its a demo guys...do you not feel at all childish and selfish? And of all people, your yelling at Major Nelson...what the hell did he do? He is updating us with knowledge as soon as he gets it. He is not in charge of what hits the marketplace, or which regions it hits and when...that goes alot deeper. The demo didn't make it out in May...oh well, grow up. Like I said...Crap happens. Like the GTA IV delay from October (remember when Peter Moore got a tattoo of the release date?...still changed...because stuff happened). If you feel like your not getting your moneys worth (and you would be lieing) then don't re-subscribe. Go buy a PS3...I see alot of people saying they will jump ship...but everytime I look at the statistics, I still see the 360 selling more.

So was I one of the few people who managed to snatch the demo off Japanese accounts b4thelock? It still works for me on my Canadian one. (Major, please don't user your Xbox God powers to delete it lol).

Honestly, whats the deal with region locking it? Do you want people NOT to be happy and excited? There hasn't been a decent demo on XBL in MONTHS.

If I could share the demo with others I would. Its a great game. Amounts of blood and gore are staggering.

With the launch of MGS4 coming soon and no counter release on the xbox its going to be a tough fight and with some people already fed up with tech support, breakdowns and lack of anything worth the 6$ or whatever a month the ps3 will win some customers. Face it the 360 online support is underdeveloped, ps3s is free and it has an internet browser.... MS is dropping the ball, simple as that

Correction.The most sales will be in the USA and the UK.The numbers sold in those two territories will be the biggest numbers.Numbers sold elswhere will be negligible when compared to the aforementioned 2.

Regardless, this sort of thing pisses people off,...a majority.

The problem you have now is the PS3 is actually starting to get some games worth buying it for. To piss loyal 360 off at this stage isnt a good idea as a lot of people will jump ship, espacially with the poor quality of the Microsoft hardware.

Take into accouint also that people pay to use Microsofts online services. This was a big game for Microsoft, they knew peopel wanted a demo to play before release regardless if they were going to buy it or not. Basically its just bad customer relations.

Reading threw these comments helped kill about 20 min. I find it funny that half the people commenting in hear think its useless to release a demo after a games already out...why? Because you already bought it? Well then...whats the problem? Why would you want to play the demo if you have the full version? Obviously not to "try before you buy". If you need the demo to make up your mind on wether you want the game or not, why does it matter if you get the demo now or tuesday? If it does matter, then you already made up your mind and you just want to play it early...brats, thats what you all are. Selfish little brats...Team Ninja didn't have to do this for you. They owe none of us anything! Did they promise a demo in May and only release it in Japan? Yes...Microsoft dropped the ball on that. But guess what, crap happens...life goes on. People need to calm down.

It's stupid, the demo seems to be translated into English, capable of operating on any type of console, but Microsoft continues to reserve a demo in Japan. And when she released in the rest of the world, the game is already available. Microsoft would not be afraid to sell his game because of the demo? Frankly it's simply stupid on the part of Microsoft. you pay a service Xbox Live, and we have every right to demand that Microsoft stop us take ***.
