As for pricing, $10 is a fair price for an original arcade game. Even if the game isn't particularly large, creating a game is a lot of work and I'd like to see smaller developers flourish. Even though we'll wind up with a couple of Bliss Islands and Space Giraffes we'll also get some great games like Outpost Kaloki X and Assault Heroes.

I'm a little more annoyed about the hard drive prices (even though I already own the 120 GB). I doubt we'll see the ability to add arbitrary hard drives to the 360, though. MS is probably pretty paranoid about DRM issues, game saving, running Linux, etc. "Security through obscurity" rarely works very well but it at least seems to be keeping the lid on the most egregious abuses in this case.

What's the point? 14GB is plenty of space for all my game saves and content

The points people are making about the 120GB hard drive are true, it's way over priced. I keep looking out for preowned ones in the shops but they're usually missing the transfer cable.

External HDD drives should be allowed to store demos, downloaded games and marketplace movies on. Profiles should be locked to the official storage devices, that way people can't hack them, whilst still allowing extra file storage.

Also, what's the limit in size that the 360 can read from a USB?

MS wants use to buy download content, then price gouges us when it comes to storing all of this stuff. What's wrong with allowing us to use a 3rd party usb HDD?

As far as game pricing goes, the free demos allow us to determine if we want to spend the points on a game or not. So 800 points doesn't bother me a bit.

re: Arcade: Elements Of Destruction

Will the complaints about pricing ever end. Many of these games are no longer in the 50 mb limit but larger, which may take up more time and resources. Maybe the developers would actually like to make a profit? God forbid.

All that really matters is that no matter the game or price, there will always be people excited about it who will buy it, and there will always be people moaning about the high price and how they are waiting for _______. Today's releases are games I have never heard of or played, so it's demo first for me. Speaking of which...no matter the price or size of the game, there is ALWAYS a FREE demo on XBL that let's you play it to see if you think it is worth the purchase. What I want to know is when the price on the 120GB drives is dropping...I just purchased a 750GB SATA for my PC for $119 (with shipping), so $179 for a 120GB drive almost seems like price gouging.

Instead of lowering the price, they are increasing it now with the introduction of the 1600 point scheme.
