Call of Duty 4 is even more of a monster when you consider how it's ranking on the PC as well.

If you look at www.xfire.com there's CoD4 hanging tight with WoW. That doesn't happen with shooters. CoD4 is fucking unreal. When it comes to tight, badass gameplay it's ALL about Infinity Ward. I feel sorry for people who play Halo.

halo 3 would probably be doing better if they would not be so stingy on holding back matchmaking playlists. Even if not that many people play some of them at least they could if they wanted to instead of having to request for them in vain.

i'd also like to see a more complete live activity list, like showing the top 50 titles of each category or something, so that we can see how the other title are getting along. please?

Oh man, too funny. I can see your sarcasm, and I feel your pain.

As for Oblivion, they try (and once I posted on here, I amazingly got an Email reply back. How odd...), and really I can do is either roll back the updates and hope it reglitches, or do what I had to with the thieves guild ring mission (where you have to steal the ring from the lady while she sleeps): that was to LEAVE IT for a while, do other stuff, come back, and hope it reglitches.

I can't fault them too much, but it does kill me to have an issue no else has.

But on a counterpoint - I did do the entire Arena in about an hour because I was ticked off and took it out on the poor suckers in there. Now today I will shut some Oblivion gates and work on finding one more bottle of Shadowbane wine.

XBox 360 - And do I look forward to Fallout? Yes, but Oblivion will always have a place in my gaming heart.

Just goes to prove GTA4 was overrated and no one is playing the MP. How much do these review sites get paid to give this game outrageous scores when it simply plays like GTA in HD.

Still BioShocked.

Alan Wake and Resident Evil 5 will both kill GTA4, RE5 gameplay already looks beyond sick.

Major, have you played Metal Gear Solid 4 yet? It's incredible. I'm glad the Xbox 360 is finally seeing some next-generation competition. Having a videogame monopoly is bad for gamers.

Anon 5 in response to your points.

1) Yeah it shows that my gold membership is working. I can download a demo in the first week with no slow downs. Go me. (Yes that was done with a tad bit of sarcasm)

2) That fact only shows one of two things: there are no new triple A titles worth buying or the number of games each player wants to own is reaching 100% saturation. I am leaning toward most people have too many games and it is finally starting to show with a $60 price point per new game.

3) PA would be a waste of money even if it was at 800 points. The fact is the game is episodic and it will eventually fail when people realize after episode 2, that they have spent $40 dollars and still have to spend at least another $60 to finish the game. I think the reality of that hasn't sunk in yet and that is why it is still showing up on the chart.

As for Obilivion, I am amazed there is any tech support at all considering how old it is. They probably lose money every time someone calls in. Good luck getting around the bug.

There is a simple explanation for GH3 over Rock Band, GH3 has sold about a million more copies on 360 then Rock Band has.

Rb6v2 isn't in the top 10 anymore, they've got to fix the lag and satisfactory pings & add more maps especially the vault map from rb6v

no one really pays attention to whether or not games are m rated. because 17 yers old aren't really young enough to be playing video games. the fact that our video game industry is promising that the rating system will keep our society in great shape is overly hyped. does halo have way less blood than gears? yes. are they the same rating? yeah. do 7 year olds get scarred for life after seeing the red on the screen in cod4? no. ask the store manager if the game is psychotic or not. because the rating system is closed off from society. they do not bring in common citizens to judge games for the esrb

Hey major - i know that top tens are great for willy waggling etc but is there any chancve we could amybe see a more comprehensive list? To see what's otherwise popular on the platform?

Personally i'd like to see what other games have legs (and i could maybe still find a game online on)

Good to seen Ninja Gaiden2 up there, it's the game I've had the most fun on my 360, learn teh moves, block and you'll breeze through it......well maybe not breeze.

I thought there was a law in place that said no meeting can start before 9am ;)
