I'm not buying it because it's not in widescreen (not because of the lack of online feature).

However, now I am looking at the new Soulcalibur being released shortly.

I have a sealed copy of the dreamcast original :D

But yeh, no online mode means there isn't any point in buying it. Why buy an old game if it doesn't offer anything new and you have the original anyway? A bit pointless really.

It's not too bad, besides, I much prefer to play Soul Caliber using the 360 pad vs. the Dreamcast pad. Don't get me wrong, I love the Dreamcast, still play and own it today. However, as I grow older, I really despise the Dreamcast game pad, so it's nice that one of the best DC games is available on the 360. My only gripe is that the Sound seems to have been sampled way down. Almost too much. Other than that, it's all good.

They provide a scale, the studio prices it and again that would be NAMCO not MS. If MS made the game then yes blame them for the pricing.

I do nothing think price is a reason people claim they are not buying this and it really does not matter if it is Microsoft's Rules or Namco's decision. Gamers think that with today's technology and what we have already that they would have put ONLINE PLAY.

The price is just a whine, I could care less if it was $0.50, there'd probably be even MORE complaints about No Online play. The trial is there, I will say, if you've NEVER played Soul Calibur and you're a gamer, I say, purchase this game. I know that sound kinda hypocritical, but I've played all versions of SC so I had my fill. From the Dreamcast to PSOne to GameCube to PS2... I'm waiting on SC4.

Play the trial, forget the price because if you are going to search for the Dreamcast version you're in for a heck of a search find and will probably pay upwards of $30 (IF you're lucky) for the original.

Try it! Then buy it and enjoy!

OXM talked with the people that head up marketplace. They said they price it all accordingly. Thats why most games are around 800, even the crappy ones. Worms was so bad yet cost 800 even though 75% of the game was now gone.

Its ridiculous. Thats why I don't bother with alot of marketplace anymore. MS even said and I quote "Its marketplace not Freeplace", they said that when asked about why they don't allow free stuff like free addons or even games. Such as worms content was supposed to be ALL FREE. Team 17 said MS told refused that idea and said MS makes the final decision on price and anyways its not a "freeplace".

LAME MS! VERY LAME! If a company wants to give us something or even charge what they want then let them. Stop profiting off of other peoples work! Bad enough your force Vista on people now. Now you force fees on everything on marketplace. And yet you claim to really care about us consumers. Just like you cared enough to put in cheap chips that caused RROD because you wanted to get out the system fast.

Yep they care.
