Can't believe my eyes still seeing the same comments about online multiplayer,

why don't you guys try and write some netcode capable of tracking thousands of objects in realtime?

Yeah, thought not.

It must be all that Ritalin getting the 'tards edgy, they must have missed the numerous announcments about GW2 having no online.

I believe the amount of enemies in Geo Wars on the screen at once trumps HW, and remember....in HW you could only move in two directions...left and right. Geo Wars has you goin everywhere. Four different people dodging a crap-ton of enemies in 4 different directions all while shooting...I can see it being a bit of a chore.

How can u complain about the price point of a game you have not played yet!! I would gladly pay 40 for a game if it is good! Just because it is downloadable does not automatically de-value it. If work has gone into it and it is fun and ya's replay value then why not charge for it!

As for Geo Wars, I think it is well worth the 800 points! It is a complete graphical update to the original and has way more replay value. Looks amazing, sounds amazing, plays even better. Plenty of fun for a couple of bucks.

re: Arcade: Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2

The thing that people tend to skip over when they complain about the new multiplier system is that what they have done is not simplified it or made it easier. If anything this new system is way more hardcore than ever. It rewards the bold and I think that makes it a wildly better system than before.

@Anon76...It is true that dying does not have the same effect as before. It is even worse to die than in part one. Yeah you may not reset your multiplier, but unless you score 100million in evolved you are only getting 3 extra lives and 3 extra bombs. Like I said everything in this game is more hardcore and I personally welcome those types of changes.

Out of the 6 modes, at least 3 are great fun (pacifism, evolved, king). I don't like waves nor deadline. Forgot about the other one though.

The only thing I miss from the original is losing the multiplier when you die. Replacing the original multiplier with geoms was not a wise decision imo, but it's still a blast to play. Too bad no one in my firends list bought it.

I have some problems with it.

- Dieing just doesn't have the same effect anymore. The multiplyer isn't reset, this changes the entire feel of the game.

- No online play, MS already gave away a high tempo space shooter with 4 player CO-OP for free it can't be that hard to do.

- Where are the billion little (+) guys ?

- Very little ease into the game, the newer players are turned off by the confused onslaught

- The longer you stayed alive in GW the more important it was to use bombs to keep that multiplyer I think this really hurts the game

- Now the multiplyers are so high you just know that your over 1000x, 1500x etc.. instead of remembering you hit 5x Multiplayer etc..

I think the game is great, it's just hard to mess with a system that really worked in the original arcade version. Some of it was lost in the transition.
