Just to be clear I bought the board version to TTR and paid 50 bucks ... so I am pretty happy paying only 7.50 for the euro version that is also 50 bucks in stores.

My biggest problem is with the way this game, and it's expansions, have been presented. When the game released it had "250 achv points" associated with it, and the instructions for both expansions were included with the original game, leading to the perception that 800 points purchased a game and two expansions...bargain! When it turned out the expansions weren't present, it wasn't that big a deal, seeing as how it was most likely a file size restriction, and yet, now when the first expansion drops it cost almost as much as the original game, and instead of downloading a sizeable file it is an unlock key, meaning both expansions are, in fact, in the game we already purchased. I had been looking forward to these expansions, but at this price, and because all I would be paying for is permission to use something I already downloaded, I will pass. Maybe they should consider some kind of trial for overpriced DLC...then maybe we could decide if it is actually worth it.

Hey BryceS I am stuned that you did not mention MSN Music closure (MICROSOFT) as an example of what can happen to your digital purchases. Only after massive complaining did Microsoft agree to keep their servers up a few more years.

Another consideration is that with the physical game you get a free key to play the online version on the Days of Wonder website (not the XBLA version). So you get quite a lot for your money.

I think the price is fine. I actually thought it was going to be 800 points since it is it's own game.

However, I really don't like it compared to USA. I am going to hold out for the 1910 which I think is the best!

I made a decision when all this started

I wont buy a live arcade game over 800ms points

and im also looking into games more now if they look like they are worth 400

I wont buy

Addons for live arcade games i wont pay over 200 ms for

I like this game but with it being 600 points I'm unsure of buying it. I assume you cant play online with Europe if you don't own it, even if the host does? This will dilute the online community a little too much I think, might sit and wait to see if it drops.

I could see myself buying it at 400 points, would prefer it if I could try it out online first though (like Crackdown).

ps. Where's all the cool Carcassonne add-ons? Cathedrals is ace.

And the rumour about Zombies!!! making it's way to Live is amazing but all you 'add-ons aren't worth money' people better brace yourself for that one!

That's a pretty unreasonable price in my opinion, 400 kilobytes? it costs almost as much as the game itself. 200 points would have been much acurate

I wouldn't pay $20 for a bare-bones Risk on LIVE either (or the PC, for that matter). Again, I don't care how much the real board game costs...this is a fairly simple expansion to an XBLA game, where 400 points used to be the standard. Now it's 600 points, which seems lame.

As for the LIVE subscription...sure, I use it for other games, but the point is, I won't get any real value out of this title without having a gold subscription already (unless playing against the AI only is how the game was meant to be played). If I wanted to go to the store to buy TTR, I can get full value as soon as I take it home. MS already has its hooks into me for $50 a year (plus occasional DLC/XBLA purchases), so of course I don't like an increase in the set price point. 600 points seems to be the new 400 points...and if the rumors are true, 1200/1800 points will be the new 800 points.

When they start charging $40 for XBLA board games because "that's how much the board game costs in real life"...good luck. Maybe you'll defend the full priced retail version of Monopoly that EA is developing (with no online play).

Great. Here starts the raising of prices.

Could see it coming with the lack of 400point Arcade titles.

For those who say it's only a few dollars, as soon as you all accept these prices, next thing you know all arcade games will be 1000 to 1600 points standard.

Why does every company think it's ok to rip off people all at the same time. Everyone is jacking up their prices all at the same time, and things like DLC aren't on the top of the priority list, so the prices for this kind of stuff should stay the same, or go down in times like this.

Glad it's out. 600 points is a lot cheaper than most other forms of entertainment in NYC so I feel like I got my entertainment value back in a single night.
