If the objective of posting in this thread was to be a hater...there would be a lot of champions in here. Thanks for the negatives...If you hate on "free" I can't imagine what you think about the gas prices.

If you want to complain about something, complain about the fact that Microsoft took over a month to get this update through certification. Playstation 3 owners got it on July 4th, and we got it now. (Then again, Microsoft's certification did find a bug that Sony's certification missed, but still... a month, come on!!)

They are also planning at least 2 more free updates. 1 includes a rather large addition to the city, and the other includes the addition of motorcycles. Both updates will also include new game modes, for both single and online, as well as bug fixes and other game enhancements. The game took a lot of heat for being different from other Burnont games, and they are working as hard as they can to try to update it to meet fan's expectations.

Don't bash them for it. The Burnout community is among the best on Xbox Live, and if you are just complain about the game, then please just sell the game, as we don't want to play with you on Live anyhow.

both titles for 360 are awesome..burnout revenge was my launch title when i got my 360 last may 2007* I was so pysched for both of them I also got the xbox original of burnout 3 which is BC..Been playing burnout series since my PS2 days.I originally thumbed my nose at Burnout Paradise when that horriffic demo came out for it, i said what are these guys thinking? Then again the cliche holds true in that a demo truly isnt the final product. The only lowdown on Paradise is the racing courses arent defined with the turn bumpers like B3 and Revenge and you can VERRRRY quickly go off course..Love taps are also wrecks unlike RV but bearable.

I get alot of heat for not liking the racing sims like PGR/Forza/Grid/Dirt/motogp/atv and you'll see none of these on my gamercard as I dont own any titles for them and Gran Turismo back on PS2 days..I just like rock-em & sock-em racing..This wetts my appetite and keeps me fulfilled so eff them.

Anon31, rude people online on various games (not just burnout) are inevitable...remember alot of these kids online had mommy and daddy sweat the 350$ US bucks for their consoles. Its usually jerks like that that arent humble cause they havent sweated the paycheck towards a fine system (and it has its quirks) like the 360 is. so chin up and grin & bear it. Sometimes in uno i say "does mommy know you dress up all gangsta like and cuss like a street thug like that??" anyways game on and i'll give the extra content a look over..its off to work for those of us that dont live with mom & dad anymore..Kids you'll know what this means when you actually have to do it.

yeah, its the same with demos, dont be playing any other game that needs to access online. im getting my head around online. i dont go on it often because i usually am kicked by whoever is hosting it because i am rubbish. the other players do get rude about me not getting the challenge and offer little or no help. if there was a beginners channel for drivers with low ranks then it would be better. nice flashy screen to start off with, seems to take longer to load though than previous. is there any way of them putting as an option an arrow on the screen to tell where to go because like most people i have a problem reading the map at the bottom of the screen and looking at the road at the same time. thats what annoys me the most about the game. you are going really fast in 1st and then the next turn off comes up too slow and youve sped past before getting to it. bought burnout revenge at the weekend too. it seems far more exciting a game to me and lot more fun.

guess it didnt like me playing another game while i was doing the download..it worked fine..I did the DL all 381MB of it..didnt play another title while it was DL'ing..and once it was done I rebooted..all is well.....for now :)

Everyone who is complaining needs to read some posts before they go on their rants...it has been said numerous times that there is in fact an auto-update when you load the game (Silver or Gold) that fixes the bugs and adds the 1p aspects of the new patch), the download is all multi-player oriented, and since you don't have Gold, it does you no good. As far as "why did they wait" arguments go, if you read the description or checked out the website (or looked over the past few months) you would have seen that they had a lot of ideas and let the users choose what was going to go in with the update...obviously this is NOT something you can do before a game comes out. Paradise is a great game, has a vast city with minimal load times, and incorporates a seemless online...the disc was pretty much full, and this download is close to a gig (I think it was 800MB), so they definitely did some work. As for everyone wondering about the "free" aspect of it, they will make their money. You have to remember that this is an EA game, and is one of the first to have the in-game advertising, so I am sure they get a fair amount for the ads that are on every billboard in the city. I actually stopped playing at one point because I thought I was in Harold and Kumar City, as there were 5-10 ads for the movie on every screen!

I have to agree that this should have been included all along, as Road Rage was what made Burnout so much fun online and its omission spoilt Paradise for many of us long-term Burnout fans. However moaning about it because you "got rid of the game" is silly, its not like EA made you get rid of the game.

We all should know by now that most 360 games get notable updates and this game in particular they have been saying all along they would be adding more stuff to it.

I never get rid of any of my games unless I REALLY do not like them, and I have very little cash.

WOW. Just WOW. Holding back A FREE BUG FIXING GAME UPDATE FROM SILVER? Outside of any future Rock Band interations as long as this keeps up I AM NEVER EVER BUYING OR EVEN RENTING ANOTHER MULTIPLATFORM GAME ON THE 360. I already bought this game on the PS3 because you held the demo back so had the update weeks ago but this is WAY TOO FAR. 100% UNACCEPTABLE.

I don't have a clue why people are complaining about a free update. Yes, you do have to have a gold account to acess the download but to be honest , why don't you have a gold account anyway? The best feature of the 360 is xbox live so just get a gold account and stop complaining. Aswell i think that T360UK CHIEF is getting himself mixed up a bit, the update is free to us but that doesn't make ea/criterion cheap, they will get payed for it and we will get our update as promised. I am personally very excited about the update and some people ( like T360UK CHIEF ) don't seem to be understanding the mass of the update because for one motorbikes are not in the single player mode so yet again you are WRONG ! Yes i understand there are different views on this update but i do not think that members of xbox live have anything to complain about. Thanks EA, thanks criterion and thanks Larry.
