An update to make another update easier. Sounds fishy to me. And BTW the new dashboard SUCKS.

Hi, After that dashboard update my console start to freeze.

It happens when I'm playing (less then 10 minutes on), and sometimes in the opening screen, before the dashboard appears.

Is there a way to rollback this update?

To be honest I don't see the point in releasing this as you could release it along with the dashboard update.

now i know this isnt the right thread to speak about this but the other thread about the NXE (new xbox experience) but i read some questions about what will happen with the themes and gamer pictures will we have to get credit or are they going to waste and the answer is no "Yes, you can still use your gamertag pics and your themes (in fact, they look a lot better now!)"

After i downloaded this update im not able to stream my music and videos from my computer to the xbox 360 correctly. Before all my music and videos would work and now i just get errors (19-04-8004005) for music that worked prior to this update (69-c00d36c4) for video that worked prior to this update Anyone else experiencing this

I have two consoles - a Premium I bought at launch, and an Arcade I bought December of last year. After the dashboard update, the Arcade has the Unplayable Disc issue, but the Premium seems to be fine.

I hope M$ is looking into this. I have called in to the Customer Support number to start the process of returning the Arcade for (what I thought was) a bad disc drive.

I too am suffering from the "Unplayable disc" error so many others seem to be suffering from now after this latest update. I placed a call to 1-800-4-my-box this morning, but I'll try a few other things before sending it in (if it actually *IS* a problem rather than the Update) ...

So, Anonymous 13, you have the same problem of having to re install auto updates if you play many games. I sent an email to them once, but it didn't help (apparently they couldn't grasp the fact that after playing a few other games, some games would have their update deleted). I thought my Xbox was defective or something (but didn't care, its only a 30 sec download every once in a while). Yeah, if that's a universal flaw, they better fix it, I'm tired of having to reinstall updates.

LOL, major has everyone calling it "THE XBOX EXPERIENCE", what happened to "BI-Annual DASHBOARD UPDATE",, is this "new" xbox experience, going happen yearly ? or or are you going to just release it as you go along, instead of waiting for the seasons to change like a panzy

Someone should seriously look into the claims about the updates causing problems. I JUST got my Xbox back today from MS for a RROD problem (related to a power surge, this I know for sure) so I obviously was crossing my fingers the update wouldn't mean I'd have to sent it right back out. So far, I have had no issues whatsoever, but clearly some people are. It's unusual in the extreme, especially people getting RROD from it, since the RROD really can't occur unless something strange externally triggers the system lock-down (usually related to weirdness in the power-supply or detecting overheating or an electrical issue). So, something in the software or the OS somewhere is weirding out on these people after the update telling the 360 to shut down and go into RROD mode, which is highly irregular.
