I never played the old Galaga, but I loved Pac-Man Championship so was looking forward to this. This is every bit as good as Pac-Man CE. I've been playing for hours today, just can't put it down! Very good game, best on Arcade currently.

After playing the game for a few hours, this game is so much better then the Pac-Man CE remake. I grew up with Galaga, and the remake is fun and challenging at the same time.

Great use of 800 gamerpoints! =)

Anon 32: There is a Championship Mode which allows you to play any level you like. To say a game is bad because it is stupid is ridiculous. This is a shump, to most fans of the genre harder is better.

its so insane with the codes MN gives out, i caught one by luck that he had just put up almost 4 seconds ago, and i entered it in by 15 seconds and someone still got it before me! lol do people have cheatz?! :P

Castle crashers next week. Are you ppl ready to shell out 1200 gamerpoints? From what I read, its going to cost that much :( Seems now this is becoming the new standard for arcade games. So greatest hits will now cost 800....this might very well be the end of 400 mspoints.

This game is absolute trash. dont buy it based on the demo. the demo is way too easy and as soon as you click buy it now and go on to level 2 - the difficulty goes up to about 10 times as hard. the biggest swing in difficulty i have ever witnesses. even zuma level 9 doesnt compare to this. basically you pay 10 dollars for the first 2 levels over and over again. level one you will pass with ease - but then you will die in level 2 about 95% of the time. and in those 5% you do manage to pass level 2......you will no doubt die in level 3 DO NOT BUY!

I was a massive fan of Pac-Man C.E., but that's because I'd already aced normal Pacman. Unfortuantely, I've hardly played regular Galaga because I thought it was a bit dull, but Galaga Legions is very good (if a little frustrating).

P.S. person who made the "modern day Ikaruga" comment, Ikaruga IS a modern day game. It was 2001 :

I highly doubt it, Microsoft hasn't added anything new to arcade hits in over a year. Too bad because there are many games on XBLA that I believe are overpriced and would get my money if they were a little cheaper.

I think I may give this one a try. It looks interesting and it is nice to see developers not just port a game, but actually re-invent it.

Yet to try this one...i will eventually. So far all of the Summer of Arcade games i have tried i have liked but i dont feel like paying ten bucks (800ms points) for them and can wait for them to go to the Arcade Hits.
