Anon 7: My Xbox has the "Unplayable disc-error" which means that I'm screwed up and it wouldn't be that smart to get Xbox Live Gold for just download the NHL 09 demo=(

NHL 08 was by far the best hockey games ever created!!!!!!! Already pre-ordered NHL 09 and hoping for no disappointments. Definitely gonna check out the demo

well last year I was disappointed with the defense so far in the trial it seems the same way it's sooo much easier to pour on the offense than the defense in this game I think its the controls, none of them are that effective or easy to pull off Again I found nhl 08 horrible in this respect I hope 09 did something to make it better...! I've always brought some severe defense to the equation But these last iterations just don't seem to serve it well at all It's more of a chaotic mess and almost a waste of time - leave it to AI now

I prefer this over NHL 2k9. Good job EA! Btw is there any key to hold down on defence that will let your player stick to the opposition handling the puck????

If this demo is anything to go by, then I'm definitely buying this game. This is the most realistic skating I've seen, and the controls and graphics are excellent. The Be a Pro mode is very cool, and with all of the online improvements, this is definitely EA's best effort yet...maybe out of ANY of their sports titles.

Yup only get 3 trials per system. I've gotten to use all 12. Now I just get stuff on the PS3 instead,had this 6 days ago. Be a Pro mode is great.

Anyone else seriously disappointed with this demo? I hope the full version isn't this weak, AI seems dumbed down as does game speed.I am seriously disappointed....

First things first, congrats Major! 20K!

My girlfriend got to play this demo this morning before I did. I'm jealous because she loves it! She played 08 with me religiously online and was probably more excited for the demo than I was. She hasn't taken kindly to the BAP mode, but I know I will!!!

Now the countdown to the release!~

If you were so smart, you'd know you can only do this three times before accounts are created as silver from the get go. Can't believe you didn't know that!

this game sounds like it has potential(never liked 08) so i'll be trying the demo but so far NHL2k9

will probably be the nhl game i get this year, EA has a bad habit of f****** things up.
