it should be great to have this album on the rock band cause guitar hero dificulty is to much for me i enjoy more playing rock band too bad

been a fan of Metallica for 22 years, and this is a reasonably good return to form. Ok I'm old (40), but so what - this is the type of

metal I now want to listen to..not that screaming thrash rubbish that seems to be so popular these days. Nice Work Boys.

and so far I've spent more time using this DLC than any other. Great value in terms for hours per dollar.

Sorry I am late to reply Anon 61, but Anon 64 pretty much covered it for me. BB changed their advertising at the last minute, so how is that my fault?

I at least showed up and publicly apologized to anyone who got screwed on the deal like I did. I bet you have NEVER done anything so useful.

And yeah, I am still upset with BB, Metallica, and Activision for pulling this stunt. If you look at Rock Band's content today (09/16/08), you will see how they should have sold the album - roughly the same price as the CD itself. NOT FOR TWICE AS MUCH. Trash, utter trash.

I could insult you for days, but I have better things to do than having to point out every little detail for people for like you.

I just know that Rock Band DLC is cheaper and far more diverse.

Fantastic album, off to pick up some point cards later.

Can't wait to check out the note charts for some of the songs, it's going to be brutal.

The price argument is getting old people, that's the price, don't like it don't buy it.

Actually, Anon 61, YOU'RE the moron. What you may fail to realize is that many of us placed our orders BEFORE Best Buy added their little "special edition" to the promotional page. The original page (and, for that matter, the advert as of today) specifies that you would receive a download card when you order Death Magnetic. No note of only some "special edition" of Death Magnetic. In fact, when I ordered, there wasn't even a "special edition" available.

Get your facts straight before you run your mouth off. We DID check the promotion; there was no "special edition" listed at first, and I've got the exact page from August 31st to prove it. This is Best Buy's inane screw up, not ours.

I ordered the full album that comes with the tracks. It amounts to the same price. Complaining about the price of this DLC will get you nowhere. Either you want it or you don't.

Anon 51 you are a moron. It said on the site it was only for the special edition and you're bitching because you didn't check, nice one. Did you not wonder why they were giving away the album and the DLC for less than the cost of the DLC itself. You don't get something for nothing.

Also, this DLC is good value, it's cheaper than rock band DLC, the other GH3 DLC and the songs are longer.

Load has my favorite Metallica song on it, my Favorite album is Ride the Lightning. I'm allowed to like a song, and When I said Outlaw Torn was my favorite Metallica song I didn't say it was best, I said it was my favorite. Theres a difference. As for calling me a kiddie, I've been listening to metallica since 87, i was 5 and my sister was dating a metal head, he got me into heavy music 20 years ago. On that note Death Magnetic is a decent album, I'm not downloading it until world tour comes out but I will be getting it.
