Props to Bungie for being able to just push Halo 3 up top every so often.

and, equal props to Infinity Ward for creating a game that can keep as high a population as Halo (often greater).

The reason that Halo 3 is back at top spot is purely because of the new achievements and the new maps that will be arriving shortly. Cod4 is the better of the two in my opinion, it is fantastic,Halo 3 is a good game in its own right, well done to Halo for making the effort.

But Call of duty seems to think with the new game coming out soon they dont need to bother. Come on Cod4 at least make the effort!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

First, you should at least try to conceal your rampant fanboyism. Second, In H3, you go/ gain EXP if you WIN. In COD4, you go up if you play. And I love how you last played H3 a day before COD4. Plus, being 9, you shouldn't be playing these games anyways.

No big surprises there.

I guess COD 4 will lose out to 'World at War' pretty soon anyway. The chances of getting new content for COD4 seem about zero right now with that lurking on the horizon.

The biggest problem Rock Band (1 and 2) have with these lists is how expensive the game is, not that it is "split" (most owners of RB2 have RB1...not too many people "rocking" out RB2 with a couple of controllers or buying the drums/ guitars/ mics separately, and I don't think the numbers together equal the number of people on GHIII, not to mention RB is still not a worldwide release)...anyone with a GHII guitar can still play any version of GH, so it's easy to see why the "cheaper" game is more "popular".

The true comparison will be when World Tour comes out...with both sets at $189 (in the USA), it'll be interesting to see which is more popular (my bet is on GHIII...kids and students without the cash to burn!!). The big question, if GH is so popular, should be "where is Aerosmith"??

Not surprised to see Halo 3 back on top. Sucks Soul Calibur and Bad Company are off the list thou...

UT3 was fun on 360, but I personally think it didn't make top 10 because it's a game you must play with Mouse and Keyboard. Too fast to control with Xbox controller. Take a look at UC 1 and 2. They sucked because it was too fast for anyone to control with xbox controller. imo.

yeah!!! good to see halo 3 back on top!! (no offense but i rented halo 3 first.. then bought cod4 for like a week.. but took it back a bought halo 3... cant mess with halo 3.. cod4 was fun and all.. but kinda boring to me (maybe i like it when im older and wanna play a slower fps) lol plus all the love bungie gives the halo community... and the very little attention infinity ward pays its fans is note worthy) wonder if GTA will get any boost from the 'cause chaos' weekend 'which shoulda been a week... lol jus not this week!!!!! :/' idk what to take of not seeing unreal tournament 3 on here at all... was it the fact that the xbox live 'nazi' powers that be wouldnt allow user made dlc?? idk why more ppl dont own this game... (maybe there use to rifles and hand guns... so the flack cannon scaaaaaares em lol)

gh3 is probably above both rock bands because the people playing rock band and rock band 2 are split. add them both together.

God, I really hope Gears of War gets the #3 spot before Gears of War 2 comes out. GTA IV is not much fun after the main story missions are complete. The only reason I have been playing it lately is because Xbox Live has been down. Well, it will be cool when Gears 2 comes out, and both Gears 1 and Gears 2 will be on the top 5.
