I kinda digg this game... in fact I've been playing for hours. The music is good, and the game is oddly relaxing. You can unlock 150 MLB players by buying packs of cards with money you earn in the game. Never know who yer gonna get. If you get 3 of the same player you can trade them in for any of the 150 players. There is a control swing and a power swing. If you throw a bad pitch it shows the hitter exactly where it's headed. At first I thought the hitting was hard but the last game I scored 35 runs. Only thing I'm not sure about is that my buddy wants to buy a copy and he's asking if we can play online. I see that it has 4 player online for xbl but don't see how to send an invite. Does he have to own the game before I can invite him to play?

All I can say as an American subscriber is "my condolences". I hope you guys get more content, cause I would feel the same way. At least you guys get to enjoy games that we do... a week later. :(. I love my English XBL friends.

I like this game. Yes, it's not very complex, but I'm not sure stupid is the right word. It is very simple, but fun still the same.

@bennybenbenj If you've heard of it, have you also been keeping an eye on The Dishwasher? That game finally disabled itself months ago on my system. That's a definite buy for me - kinda like a 'goth' version of Alien Hominid in my book. Though I wished the story was told via a slideshow, or short jerky animation; the scrolling photos AND text seem too much. Though after quite a few plays I decided to read them. @Anon 32 I'm NOT a baseball fan, but Ken Griffey Jr on the SNES was an awesome game - the ONLY game my best friend in high school could totally smoke me at (he wasn't a Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat fan) outside of Metroid (all TWO of them - 1995). There's only one other baseball game I remember that was a little better and it allowed outfielders to climb the fence to catch fly balls and it was on the NES if I am not mistaken. I'm a casual soccer and volley ball fan (Virtua Tennis - Sega Dreamcast controller rocks like a dream). @LittleBlueAlien Kudos bro, sorry 'bout the 'others man'. Someone, Microsoft should at least address that issue. I know it involves certain (regional) laws most likely, but a factual paper, letter to the gamers would somewhat settle down some concerns. Its kind of like some U.S. gamers and Japanese RPGs, their answer was import. With Xbox Live games, you're kind of left in the cold. It sucks as you would think XBLA would be an answer to 'regional' constrictions and distribution. But then there is game content. "Gamers just wanna have fun!"

As a Canadian living in the UK - all I can say is that is a typical ignorant remark from a misinformed American (no, I do not think all Americans are misinformed thank god...) -

Sports have no nationalities - Baseball is enjoyed throughout Canada, Mexico, much of Latin America, Japan and even in Britain you will find the occasional game.

At any rate - what people think about where something belongs is irrelevant. All Xbox Live members should have the opportunity to evaluate this game for themselves.

This game is utter garbage. When are they going to wise up and give us a sandlot version of the original Ken Griffey Jr. presents Major League Baseball (SNES)? If you're going to make a simplistic baseball game, why not tap the very best?

I'm thoroughly disappointed.

I've been playing it for a lil while. It's great to play with my kid though because it's easy enough for him to PICK UP AND PLAY

I was really looking forward to this game, here in Australia we dont get any MLB games NOT EVEN on arcade what is with that?

this is very poor on Microsoft and 2k Sports part.

Anyone else see this Netters game? The first XNA game to go up for peer review? Thing is tiny, like 100kb, alas i can't play it since I'm not an XNAer but i've not read about it anywhere.

It OK, pretty mediocre. Fielding and Baserunning are automatic and very simplified. Definitely not a must buy at 800. I might consider it at 400.
