Please tell me microsoft had the foresight to let gamers keep the *old* dashboard up if they like it better (and I'm not talking about only in the "guide". Those avatars just look ridiculous, and saying that "you don't have to use it, just boot up to your game all the time" is *NOT* an answer - just sidestepping the issue.

Yes i did play Rock Band and Rock Band 2 yes they do have custom avatars but there is something on the Scene it box office smash page that points to it is not custom its the NXE avatars and here it is,

" With the new Xbox LIVE experience, you can put yourself into the game through custom avatars that respond to your play and react to one another throughout the course of the game."

Nice!! Lets hope it's deployed on time without any delays, because MS have stepped up their advertising campaign in the UK so to delay the new NXE would make them look a little silly.

As for Scene It?® Box Office Smash, I just hope they keep the game continuous with the SAME GAME PLAY across the board with DLC. Unlike Scene It?® Lights, Camera, Action, I was excited when I purchased it - AWESOME, but after visiting the xbox.com forums and reading people who bought this game when it first came out (repeating questions and DLC for it were canceled), I felt a little down. Still excited about a good trivia game, I'm afraid to play alone as I would easily memorize 300 questions (natural cheating) when playing at parties. A game like this could live forever and ever on the SAME type DLC, just different questions and answers. Also, video questions should only be 30 seconds or less for DLC or 're-usable' in other questions.

The avatars are MOST LIKELY going to be able to be ENABLED or DISABLED in that game. It is NOT avatar dependent. Have you played Rock Band or Rock Band 2? Hello 'custom avatars'! It would be cool if you could override those Rock Band 2 avatars and put in the 'real avatars' and sing with them. Nurbs or polymorf trade-off? Hmmm...
