Hopefully. Finding someone is totally random, but if you want to fight a cool guy, look on my friend's list for FlyDeathwish, he's cool and he doesn't fight dirty. He has skill, much better than my cheesy 'Mature' SubZero.

sucks for me, they had all 3 at target on sale for the same price a while back, so I already have them. Wish it would have been some other titles.

Good for everyone else though. I like price cuts on this stuff, it's always nicer to hopefully have more people online playing games like this if I go back to them.

Hmm.... I want Mortal Kombat 2 in the Arcade as it was the BEST version and more popular. Then I can go back to MY Shang Tsung combos of SubZero-to-Scorpion-to-SubZero deep freeze-to-Mileena Fatality. And the return of the Icy Hot Fatality.

MK2 was the version that some Street Fighter II fans would occasionally wonder over to for something different.

UMK3, once you get use to it and fight someone you're level, it is okay. I've learned to be SUPER cheesy from 'kid' players. Don't block in the corners or come at me head on, or I'll punch you out of the air, freeze you in the air or trip-punch-punch-punch-trip you. It's terrible when you fight in desperation for the win. Ha ha ha. Mortal Kombat 2, not so desperate and ALL the combos are not easy.

Why won't your MK Fanatic friend play UMK? Is he afraid of the RUN button? I bought this game a few months after I purchased my Xbox360 - even though I HATED it on SNES (the ONLY game my nephew creamed me at). That RUN just throws me off so much. But I bought this just for kicks. I'm no match for a Tier 1, 2 or 3 players, especially those who play with Shang Tsung. The Kabal-into-Scorpion-into-Sektor combo really bites. The older SubZero, I can hold my own.

I can't seem to unlock the OLD SubZero.

Hopefully some of you 'yooths' will purchase it. I like 'fresh meat' to practice on. Hey, this IS Mortal Kombat, right?

Actually a lot of stores will match the price if you bought something recently and it goes on sale right after.

Not that I care really, owned 2 of the 3 for ages already, and the other I have no interest in.

It is the first and only game so far to feature playable avatars (not just avatar support like Bomberman LIVE and Scene It:BOS, where the avatar is your cheerleader), and will launch at the same time as NXE

Hmm, shame the extra levels and for worms aren't cheaper as well, I might be tempted to buy them then. For those people complaining that they recently bought it for 800, yeah it sucks but it happens. Nothing different would happen if you bought it in a regular shop just before a sale. Also to put it in perspective, several years ago a mate of mine bought a Voodoo 5 videocard, cost him around au$650, about 2 weeks after he bought it, 3dfx were bought out by nvidia, the driver support dried up and the card was retailing for au$300.

Maybe a bit off-topic but I do wish they would port the original Mortal Kombat. Surely that is a classic so more worthy of porting than a sequel that I am not at all fond of?

The first one was a revolution for fighting games, the first them they ever were photo realistic and motion captured. The third, well, I always found all the sequels just too difficult so did not enjoy them.

This may have been mentioned already, but technically there is a new XBLA title available. For those that preordered Banjo Nuts & Bolts, the original Banjo is available for download ahead of it's release.
