Thanks crazeeseal. HDD space is the one thing I am most concerned with. Seems like 60 gb is the way to go. Even though it's a ripoff, I will probably order the new Xbox 360 60GB LIVE Starter Pack today.

After using this for the weekend I can say that for the most part the NXE work very well and I have no complaints. The install to hard drive is almost useless those of us with a 20GB HD. Gears 2=8 GB :(

Hello. I found a little "bug" in NXE. On my tv connected by hdmi i see the xbox logo and other dashboard things not centered on screen. it's little on the right. You see the same thing?

@VampiricPadraig Yes old gamer pics are fully supported, and it's nothing completed. Just change it in your profile like usual. All the "new" gamer pics are is a snapshot taken of your avatar with a little virtual camera on screen, zoom in and out, and click take photo. It's painless really.

@x LoRD SLoaN x: There's no way to rollback, as this update overwrites the flash memory inside the machine that stores the operating system (this is read-only normally). So once you go, it won't go back. I can also confirm that you do need some form of storage device (hard drive or memory card is fine) as it will update that as well.

It really is quite painless, don't fret about it at all.

@nieker: I'd suggest emailing major nelson and e directly rather then just posting here in the comments. While they are read by Microsoft staff, they're pretty busy people so having a copy in the inbox is the best way to go.

Should stop using Viddler for these videos, I'm tired of seeing cheap potshots invading my view of the video I'm watching. Can't wait for this to happen, it must be big if it's going to make two long downloads.

I hope there's a way of rolling back to the old dashboard, should my connection or power fail during the install. I heard that holding the Sync button on the console while switching it on would delete all failed updates but I've never been able to confirm it.

The belgian language problems have not been fixed in this update. It's sad to see something that such a big political issue in Belgium seems nothing to microsoft. The forums are full of it, and we get an update that makes things worse. I'm so friggin sick of french ads, demo's, trailers... even the xbox classics are french. If it can work in canada, then why not in Belgium?

Just make an option to change the language of everything! It doesn't have to be dutch, just not french :)

@podgypooh - I've been wondering about the default channels and how to set them. And they really need to re-organize some of the channels. I like it overall minus the avatars (and yes, after trying them, I still hate them). But it still has room for improvement. THIS TIME LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMERS!
