Halo 3 will continue to reign supreme into the future. Long live the King. Sad to see Gears of War 2 dying an early death. It deserved a better fate. Epic should never have attempted automatic, TruSkill based matchmaking. No one has been able to do it nearly to the success of Halo 2 or Halo 3. Should have been a points-contribute-to-rank system, and far more than just the 5 they provided (which has an extremely large jump from Staff Sergeant to Brigadier General). Would have given an actual purpose to the points system as well.

Yeh, agree, most play Horde. I RARELY play outside of that, though I have friend in Germany who tricked me into a Wingman game trying to get his achievement. I suck, okay, I'm decent at online play - as being the 'white rabbit' or 'front charger'. I believe in team work and coordination and he believes "If I get the snipe, we will win." Well, until he goes down early - foolish charge for the snipe and he does not pan the area to see if anyone is near or watching him.

The Horde is just fun because you can talk to the other players and shout out locations and lone wolves are welcome, but most learn quickly, 'hunting' by yourself can cost you AND the team. The Horde will die down eventually. I just wished they had Reaver Races (WipeOutXL/StarWars Pod Racing only it is raced and battled via Reavers) and/or Brumak battles (defend your area from other players' Brumaks). Oh well, maybe next time.

The 'casual-gotta-beat-it-sell-and-sell-it-to-get-a-good price' gamers are a bit unsettling. GOW2 isn't poor, it is that the story was very weak. Have you played Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe? The end boss of THAT game should have been the Locust Queen. Not to sound like I'm knee deep in Locust/Human history, but who is invading who in the game? How can the Locust Queen speak such good english? WHAT were the Locusts doing to captured humans? And not to be funny, are there ANY female Locust... oh yeh, the Beserker who added a quick thrill for her mass and speed for being a blind, but no deaf chic. And WHAT exactly are Lambent? I know what they are, but WHAT EXACTLY are they? IF there is a Gears of War 3, Stephen King needs to clean up the story and finish it. The Horde and my love of sci-fi makes me keep this game.

IF I had to choose between Halo 3 and Gears of War 2, all one has to do is say "Horde..." And my vote is Gears of War 2. I'm not really first person shooter fan (outside of Duke Nukem 3D on PC - yes, I have it on XBLA - it rocks, but...). My friend that intro'ed me to Halo prepped me for Halo 3 by letting me borrow his Halo 1, awesome single player game. Halo 2, ehhh, Halo 3 "Booyahh!", though when I let him borrow Gears, he played it, but quickly dismissed it. "... the ducking behind objects and being able to see all around you is not true to real world, like Halo is..." Those were his words and he has a point and a reason why he smokes me every time in MatchMaking. But with that said, I DID notice a LOT of selling GOW2 within 2 weeks, unlike Gears 1 that sold copies did not show up in masses like that until like six or seven months after the game's release. Okay, first of all, Halo 3 is a very addictive game, you might stop playing it for awhile, but always seem to come back to it because of its gameplay,and there's something else you guys gotta realize, a little game called Socom:Confrontation just came out and guess what, just about everyone that played vegas 2 and call of duty 4, went to that. My list is full with call of duty 4 and vegas 2 players, now my list is filled with people thats been offline forever, because they are all over playing Socom on the ps3, Thats probably the biggest reason why COD4 isnt near the top of the list now and same with vegas 2....

The MGC site has records of all of the gamer tags. However, it only counts traffic of those who have registered. I think it's illegal to track something when someone hasn't consented to it. (People consent to this by way of the Xbox live terms of service.)

Plus- it isn't hype. Gears is a first party game. If it was a whole big scandal Gears would be higher then 4th.

Plus, please stop saying that the games are "fractured". The top 4 are all in the same category- Hardcore shooters. It is completely plausible that most gamers own all 4 games.

Gears' position will only continue to fall. The online matchmaking is... upsettingly bad.

It just blows my mind that they didn't think to PLAYTEST their matchmaking before releasing it.

It's nice to see H3 back at the top, although I imagine that's largely because the CoD fans are fractured between 4 and WaW; many 4 fans probably haven't purchased WaW seeing as it's the SAME GAME.

In www.mygamercard.net/leaderboard.php are the record of all the Gamertags in Xbox Live, if you don't believe create a Gamertag, wait a couple minutes and search the Gamertag. (So please don't answer me that the information is to registred users)

In MGC Halo 3 is 4th and Major Nelson says Halo 3 is 1st... I don't Believe Major Nelson... So what is happening really??

I think is a way to make Halo 3 most popular this days... Let Halo 3 RIP and please don't make more Hype about Halo 3

Is gears that broke that not a lot of people play MP? My box is dead due to E 74 five days before gears release. Halo 3 will be king for many many months to come. The closer to ODST (recon) the more it will be played.

damn i wish more people would play Team Fortess 2, the gameplay is so fun, hopefully people start playing when valve actually releases the update.
