yeah go gaylo! number 1 even though gameplay sucks and is overrated. glad gears 2 is falling as well. gears 1 was a fluke. for gears 2, they tried but failed so hard. and call of duty, it still goes strong. 2 games in top 3.

Good to see Halo 3 back at the top, where it belongs. And yet you still gte people complaining about how much it sucks XD

Gears really isn't that bad, there's just a serious online multiplayer problem. But the campaign is fantastic fun, if a little amateurish in the plot department.

Exactly. The Franchise. Not a single game, but a franchise. The fact that there are 3 times the amount of COD games then there are Halo games gives a little bit of advantage to the COD series-based on the fact that the list is based on UU's.

im surprised to see Fifa 09 on top, that just shows how good of a sport game it is. I cant wait for christmas to get Cod: World at War, i want to see if it deserves the #2 spot.

I'm not surprised at Halo3 being at the top again, with its flawless online and variety of game modes, it deserves to be at #1. But I can't believe so many people still play COD4, this game got so repetitive for me I stopped playing it a long time ago. The only interesting thing here is CodWaW vs GeoW2, and since GeoW2 is by far the superior game, I can only assume that more people are playing COD because it's more accessible. GeOW2 can be frustrating if you suck, whereas in COD you will just respawn instantly, you don't really need to play well unless you're worried about you're stats. Regardless, I own all of these games, and the bottom line is that they are all great and deserve to be in the top5.

Just the fact that fallout 3 is a single player game and is still on the top 10 list for unique users show how amazing that game truly is.

Epic really needs to come out with a dozen patches for Gears 2 or that game is outta here, along with Epic's street cred.

I'm a very cynical gamer and I cant believe I trusted them. I believed they didnt patch Gears 1 properly so they could make Gears 2 as flawless as possible. Hah, what a fiasco. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice.. me go play something else. I just wish I hadnt given them my 70 bucks.

Everyone stop saying the COD "franchise" would beat Halo. You cant even compare the two!

1. Modern as opposed to WWII.

2. IW as opposed to Treyarch.

Those two facts alone guarantee a different experience. Some people play COD4 because they dont want to play WAW, and some play WAW because COD4 is old. It's Activision's own fault that they release different games under the same heading a year apart. And just because they use the same engine dosent mean they are similar. That would mean every game that uses Unreal Engine 3 would be similar. BioShock and Mirror's Edge? Battlefield and Gears? They are all completely different.
