I wouldn't give Gears a one on the list, but there shouldn't be that much hate, I mean yes, the matchmaking is broken. Bu that isn't the only thing we care about right? Games such as Portal and Half-Life have great single player campaigns, and so does Gears, not only that, but if you do have a group of friends that play well on Horde mode. It gets fun. I think every game is in it's right place at the moment except GTA and Fable, that should of been a swap.

I think Halo 3 can still stay on the list for a long time, whether or not at one, I don't know. Though I am really getting ticked off at both the Halo/CoD fanboys arguing why their game is better. We are all gamers right? So shouldn't we instead just have fun and be happy none of us are playing Hannah Montana 20: "I've become a lost child star" edition?

If you were to put CoD4 and WaW together then Halo would be number 2 behind it. They should have waited another year for a new CoD game (Modern Warfare 2). They have split their fanbase. Many switched to WaW but a lot stayed (or went back) to CoD4.

Hawaiian c, are you stupid? These stats aren't based on your friends list, its the whole of Xbox live. The main reason people aren't playing Halo on your list is because YOU don't play it.

We played Gears of War 2 tonight and it was great fun, no problem whatsoever. I am not sure what all the bashing is about. Ah well. Halo 3 is king because the game is fun. Simple as that.

Man, Gears 2 is not doing so well. The single player campaign was epic but the matchmaking blows. Halo 3 and COD 4 & 5 just make it easier and more fun to play online.

SO glad that epic is getting shunned. I love the "oh we're only doing so bad because halo 3 has a multiplayer map pack on sale" what a garbage excuse for a shitty game. gears of war 3 will not sell at ALL. Good job Epic on ruining what could of been a great game series.

I love Halo, don't get me wrong, it was the first xbox game I played, but c'mon, the multiplayer in it is the same story. gears is my favorite game ever, and without it being patched it sadly does fall very short of it predecessor's and that had its own issues. EPIC GET ON IT!!!!

Hey Major! Stop padding the stats! You know Gears of 2 shouldn't be at the 4 spot. It's lucky to even be on the list, much less at number 4. Put it at the bottom where it really belongs.

There were over 200,000 online on COD:W@W this morning. Looks like that game was under a lot of Christmas trees. It may give H3 a run for its money when Major gives us the post-Christmas top 10. Happy holidays!!!

I used to play Halo 3, but when you really look at it, its a bit crap after a while, waaaay too many kids for me.

COD4 vs COD:WAW? Well i'd say it was personal taste, don't comment unless you actually own both, gotta love limbs getting blown off in WAW.

Halo 3 IS the King. Long live the King. Gears of War 2 has some majoor issues to resolve before it can even think about being number 3 or number 2 again. And World at War is good, but it is not nearly as good as Call of Duty 4. But even that couldn't match Halo 3. Give up on the "split base" BS. The Halo fanbase is much larger than that of CoD. It's unique users per day and per week outclass both of them combined. However, I still like all three franchises, but as it is, Halo 3 > Call of Duty 4 >> Call of Duty: World at War >>> Gears of War 2 (even if issues are resolved).
